They have a branch a stone-throw away from our office at Pioneer in Pasig....looks good but nothing great about the taste....would rather have pizza at Sbarro or Don Henricos....their pastas are bland-tasting, soggy and over-cooked....the Pasta Alfredo at Pizza Hut and Monster meatball spaghetti at Shakeys are better....
Their meat dishes are simply drowned in gravy...you taste the gravy, not the meat.....nag expect ko og lami kay nindot man ang pictures tanawon when I pass by....pero big disappointment when I finally got to taste it....wouldn't recommend it to anyone who loves to eat great tasting food....

it's more of an upper middle-class joint, so as far as ambiance and pricing goes, it would be at level with Sbarro, Don Henrico's and Yellow Cab.....comparing Joey's with the three mentioned, I find Joey's several notches below them as far as taste and quality goes. I've eaten at Joey's several times in different branches (Pioneer, MOA and SM North Edsa) and it tastes the same....so I really can't say that I just had a bad day at one of their outlets when I found their food disappointing.
My bet would be that it won't last considering their competition. Plus, Cebu already has too many pizza joints..from the inexpensive to the specialty, to the high-class....it's a too-saturated market already.....I'm looking forward to the next food-fad....most probably Greek or Medeterraenean type cooking...and I do wish that we have sandwich joints here similar to Almond Marina and No.10 Dove Street in Sto.Nino Village or an inexpensive version of Subway.......
