Customers are not allowed to touch the therapists. At first they are warned, if they continue violating the rule, they are banned from the establishment.
Your husband is truly lucky if you are to learn the massage. Video na lang. Otherwise, either naay makahikap lain sa imong husband or ikaw gyuy makahikap og lain.

Last one, be careful sa prostate nga part...kung dili ka confident...ayaw na lang.

AS in any service, professionalism starts with wearing the right clothes.

A spa owner gave this advice along with an offer to Cebu City officials to help professionalize lingam massage services in the city yesterday.

Honey Yoo, owner of the Authentic Lingam Spa in Mabolo, Cebu City said professionalizing lingam massage services would help deter prostitution among spas and massage parlors in the city.

The first step is to require attendants to wear proper clothing and not skimpy outfits.

“In our spas, we always professionalism and how can you establish that if we start by wearing skimpy clothing? That's why we have to start there,” she said.

Yoo, a masseuse licensed by the Department of Health in Central Visayas (DOH-7), said they prohibit their clients from touching their attendants.

“We always warn clients who can't keep themselves from touching our attendants... we even asked one client to leave,” she said.

Yoo trained in the International NKYR Academy, the only DOH-accredited massage training institution in Cebu.

She said lingam is an advanced form of massage that can be incorporated to other forms of massage like Swedish and Thai massage.

“I am also talking to a Malaysian Lingam massage trainer asking him to come to Cebu and help educate Cebuanos on the proper way of doing the massage. He also provided training for my masseurs,” Yoo said.

Yoo supported regulation of lingam massage services in the city in part due to the rising number of spa owners doing lingam massage.

She said a lot of them may not have received proper training.

She said it's important to set standards for lingam massage services.

Meanwhile, Cebu City Councilor Alvin Arcilla said he plans to meet with fellow councilors and city police to work out ways on how to monitor and regulate lingam massage services in the city.

He said he would have to review a previous resolution that called for regulation of lingam massage in the city.

“If there's a need of an ordinance, why not? If it's degrading the morality of the Cebuanos then we should act against it,” Arcilla said.

Supt. Paul Labra II, deputy city police director for operations, said they stepped up surveillance of spas and massage parlors offering lingam massage days after the May 10 elections.

Labra called for an ordinance that would regulate lingam massage. Lingam is a Sanskrit word for the male genitals though it also loosely means the “Wand of Light.”

It is popular among male customers since it involved massaging of genetalia.

The lingam massage is said to be therapeutic for elder male clients to prevent prostate problems.

Dr. Rene Josef Bullecer, former Cebu City Anti-Indecency Board (CAIB) chairman, called on the city government to crack down on spas and massage parlors that offer lingam massage, saying it leads to prostitution.

Bullecer blindly assumes that lingam massage surely leads to prostitution (sexual intercourse in exchange for payment).

What about those sleazy massage parlors that have histories of prostitution and yet they don't offer lingam massage? Is anybody monitoring those kinds of parlors?

Lingam massage (as well as its female version and certain other related massages) is a standard already in certain nations and has existed for thousands of years now, yet we Filipinos view it as a brand new thing.
