with ur conditions-suitable breeds for u would be a PUG or a SMOOTH CHIHUAHUA.these are quite docile breeds with minimal exercise requirements & grooming,developed for the sole purpose of-companionship.

i think jrt being a working terrier, tend to be extremely athletic, fearless, and vocal dogs.
they also have this tendency to be moody based sa ako nabasahan, and easily gets bored,
nya if ma-bore sila, mangita gud kuno sila ila kalingawan para malingaw lang gud sila hehe

i'm also staying n a 1 floor apartment, same factors as enumerated, pero nagwork nako and wala bata sa amo...i have a shih tzu...dili sabaan...mura ra ug walay dog sa imo apartment...hehehe just provide him wid toys para dili ma.bored...den ayaw lang pataasa iya balahibo para dili mag.matting...

i'd go 4 boston terrier. Just got my BT, grabe ka behave, child friendly, malambing saan ka pa.

i also have mini pins, if u want a doorbell dog go for mini pins hehehe ^^,

basenji kay smooth coat, dili lang nuon gamay sama kagamay sa mga toy breeds, but dili jud musaba kay mao ra man ning dog nga dili kamao mupaghot hehehe
