though the letter is a bit unprofessional by nature, i can't purely blame the owner if he feels very disappointed on LeBron's decision to leave the Cavs...ive read some articles just this afternoon regarding this(kalimot ko unsa nga site, sorry), and he even said LeBron never bothered to call/text him(Gilbert) or the management days after the Cavs lost to the Celtics...

may similarity man gd ni sa case ni Boozer(kadto Cavs pa xa) nga naa na silay verbal agreement ni Gilbert nga mubalik xa sa Cavs but pag offseason didto xa ni-sign sa Utah Jazz...kinsa man pd di malain anah? hehehe..

kani na case is that the owner and the management gave LeBron almost every help he would need to get a championship, and then after back to back playoff disappointments, he bolted out of the team...anah lang, out of disappointment ra to nga letter...

    just my two cents...

@edge827 - thanks bro. no probs na...

naa gyud ni effect sa legacy ni bron.. karon pa lang gani daghan na ng backlash niya.. although it can be considered sour graping and all.. still its really not healthy for the nba. beside remember riley tried to build a super team when he was with the knicks and never past the bulls?

Orlando Magic general manager Otis Smith said Friday he was surprised James went to Miami because he thought the two-time MVP was “more of a competitor.” He said the “great ones” do it on their own and “usually stay in one location.”

It was rare public criticism from the usually coy Smith and perhaps a move to motivate his Magic. James had announced a day earlier that he was joining Dwyane Wade(notes) and Chris Bosh(notes) in Miami to form an All-Star trio.
Asked if James’ move to Miami will cause a power shift in the NBA, Smith responded, “Is Kobe retiring?”
“He’s proven he can do it on his own,” Smith said of Lakers star Kobe Bryant(notes), smiling over the comments. “Oops. My bad.”

sorry was cut off.. na double post nuon.. tsk tsk..

Smith also said the Magic “still hold the crown” as the best in the Southeast Division, having won three straight titles. He added the Heat will be tough to beat but are not unguardable.
“Unless they got three balls, you still guard them the same,” Smith said. “They’ll figure it out I’m sure. Somebody’s going to end up with seven shots. Are they going to be OK with that? Somebody’s got to be Robin. Are they OK with that? Those are the things they have to work out.”

“I PERSONALLY GUARANTEE THAT THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WILL WIN AN NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BEFORE THE SELF-TITLED FORMER ‘KING’ WINS ONE”

You can take it to the bank.

The self-declared former “King” will be taking the “curse” with him down south. And until he does “right” by Cleveland and Ohio, James (and the town where he plays) will unfortunately own this dreaded spell and bad karma.

    Just watch.

    Sleep well, Cleveland.

Tomorrow is a new and much brighter day….

I PROMISE you that our energy, focus, capital, knowledge and experience will be directed at one thing and one thing only:

DELIVERING YOU the championship you have long deserved and is long overdue….

he was bitter but thats the usual reaction after being left in the air by LBJ. i think Lebron didnt appreciate what the owner did for him. theres no sense of propriety kaau si LBJ. i think DG gave all the best he can do for LBJ, and kung ni stay pa cya sa cleveland, they are still the team to beat, they can fix whats lacking in their team. sigh.

Think of all the money that he spent – he tried to win at all cost for the Cavs fans, the town and LeBron. Then to see LeBron was even willing to take less money and help Miami's salary cap – that had to hurt.
