I'll take either. It depends on what type of team you have. Kidd is a better all-around player and is a very cerebral player but Nash is a better scorer/clutch performer and plays with more heart. It's very hard to compare those two. Both are excellent point guards.

It's ironic but both players seem to not be able to flourish and shine with the Mavs for some reason or another. In Kidd's rookie years, he was traded notwithstanding his performance and popularity. While in New Jersey, he was at the peak of his powers and was an absolute maestro. But in his return to Dallas, he isn't as effective anymore. (Of course his age is a factor but even then, I think Rick Carlisle's system isn't the best fit for him). Nash on the other hand wasn't exactly that bad as a Maverick, but when he left town for a return engagement with Phoenix he won back-to-back MVPs. Dallas was also run-and-gun while Nash was there but they didn't win as much and weren't even as fun to watch as the Mike D'Antoni-coached Suns teams Nash led.

ill take kidd... though nash maybe an all around ball player... kidd is a clutch one and can make or break a game for you....
