    I do agree.
As long as pop3 inyong company email server, you can always add it sa imong gmail account.

With google apps, your mails are hosted and filtered by google's servers. It's a full pledged email hosting service by google. Easy to setup too as long as you have access to your DNS records.

    thanks bro..

@ beor add lang ko sa question nako

usually in every company naa man gyud ta tawag nato ug mga technical details nga ma send nato through email or tawag sad nato nga confidential emails..

My point here is safe ba ang account nato?? is it possible to hack someones email and gather info about your company?

    POSSIBLE BA?

waterboy0911, it is always possible to get infiltrated whether you are hosting your own email server or have it hosted outside. In this regard, I am sure Google keeps updating their system to thwart possible break-ins. Take note that more than 99% of successful "hacks" are mainly due to poor passwords. So if you want to be 99% safe, make sure you choose a complex password.

    good point..

makalagot man gud ang admin namo kay gamay lang kaayo ang storage sa amo server.. then daghan na kuno emails.. and walay limpyo limpyo... tsk tsk.. mao ni mas maayo ug ipa host nalang sa google..

Can you guys tell something what's the positive side and the negative side if we host our email to google or other source... or just keep it on our Own small group nalang then save it on our own servers..

If you do a lot of internal communications then it is logical to host your own servers. If not, then hosting outside would become a viable option.

Some pros of hosting it locally:

    1) Getting emails will "feel" faster.
    2) Easy to do backups.
    3) A lot more efficient if you do a lot of internal communications.

Some pros of hosting it with Google Apps:
    1) Great uptime.
    2) Basically no maintenance cost involved.
    3) Great spam filtering.

The volume of emails are you are sending and receiving will also matter. There are more but I think you can start with those.

naa ray libre nga Google Apps, kanang standard edition totally free. I think you have about 50 email accounts free for one domain, around 7 gig storage per email account. ma-access pud nimo via pop/imap and webmail, pretty much like a regular gmail account with all of google's other services like calendar, docs, etc etc...

if need nimo more users or more space, mao na na bayad ka for the Premier edition. otherwise, standard edition google apps should be enough. Very useful, and free. you don't need hosting if your domain registrar already gives you access to dns records.

for more info, go to google.com/a
