Are there any capacitors in your mobo that have been damaged or ar bulging?Originally Posted by dongie

Thanks for all the help pipol. Was able to stabilize system but mouse kept failing. Mouse could not be detected on boot-up. Tried same mouse on different desktop and on a laptop and both detected it. Tried different mouse on my PC and it was detected. However after several days mouse would be detected but would suddenly freeze after several minutes. Reboot would result in same mouse detection and later loss. Have been using a usb mouse lately and there have been no problems. Is this an indication that the PS/2 port is damaged? If so, can this be repaired?
