@Melodyman...sorry no rod& reels at porter marina for rent.you might want to invest nalang for your initial rod& reel. You can go to TCE tackle shop and select the not so expensive ones. This will be your test if you really want to go fishing as a hobby. There aremany brands to choose from but those that are US Brands are quite expensive for a beginner. TCE had Malaysian brands that are affordable Lang. Or you can go to Tobi's at the SM Northwing and they sell," Ugly Stick-Shakespear brand" which I find it okay. Would want to buy it even if I have already a lot since nice man kini. Have been fishing for more than 15yrs now and this brand is okay.

registration is 50pesos for freelance, 100pesos per entrance + 1 person non-member ang pude, pay japun 100. naa pud sila one-time of 1k good for 1 year.

d mo ma-zero sa porter marina if u'll go bottom fishing and pa-abtik gamay sa bite to hook the fish.. suggestion nako is use fish chunks, not whole fish, pude sad cooked sobra-sobra nga meat chunks. things to bring sa box ninyo.... lots of fish hooks of various sizes. dako tendency ma-sangit jud ang hook ninyo and replace na sad. if wala mo kapalit paon, adto lng mo kilid, pangulekta mo didto ug shells, break it open and get the inside flesh and use it as fish bait, irresistible jud na nila, hehehe...

Sir Catfish,it's really up to you if you find it boring or not. There will always be times that you can't catch anything. No stikes even specially when it's low tide. The best thing is that you should find fishing buddies to be with you when you go out fishing. Having someone to talk to most of the time, share info and fishing experiences, thrills of almost catching the big one will make it worthwhile even under the heat of the sun.
