    • its too troublesome to locate installers gud sa most apps na akong gigamit. hahays
    • do you have any systematic procedure to install windows again? in SP2? kay i have issues man gud with the bluetooth device
    • do you think reformatting is the answer here?
    • and finally... kapoya mangita nasad og warcraft 3: tft oi! naa mo? hehehe.Â*

bro if u reformat, evrything is gone
i would advise that if you have a back up harddisk nga imu kabalhinan sa imo files and installers or if imo na gi partition imo harddisk
but if wa ka magsave sa mga installers
    nya duha2x paka
i scan nalang na imo disk for spyware malware and anitiirus
im using the following and be sure registered version or full ha:
    spybot search ans sestroy
    ad aware
    registry mechanic
    spyware doctor
    webroot spysweeper

and the most handy kay mu delete ug junk stuff in your pc and has a defraggmenter kay system mechanic
    hopes this helps bro

bai i understand your concerns. i suggest you back up c:\documents and settings on another drive. Then you can reformat. Segregate the files in that folder after reformat.

There's an import function in outlook that will help you migrate those files back to your new windows install. I do this all the time.

Personally I don't like the approach "basta something is wrong reformat dayon". Aside from that di nimo ma trace ang REAL cause sa problem if magreformat ka.

By the looks of your problem bai a reformat may not be a good solution. If it's slow try uninstalling programs you don't need. Mao ra gyapon. If you reformat and start adding programs again you'll still end up where you are now. Just clean your windows. One of the greatest accomplishments i have done was to keep a windows xp install running for 4 straight years! Excluding karon my last xp install lived 2 pc upgrades. (yes i know i should get a life. LOL)

identify and fix the problem first, reformat would be your last option ...

I agree with baddudes... but for me, REFORMATTING is really the best cure for Software type problems.

@doki: kung naa kay spare HDD, i-backup imong windows folder og program files (katong associated with hardware drivers) didto para kung mag-reformat ka, you can just let the window's drive installer to look there for drivers. Mao man ang gabuhaton sa una (as in a long time ago - dial-up days pa) kung mag-reformat ko unya nawala ang drivers

Or it might not be a SW problem, could be a HW problem.
Better run a full system diags then handle the SW issues.

    REFORMAT.

if you want to rule out the OS as the culprit.. then go ahead and reformat. it'll be faster to reinstall than to identify and fix software related problems. yes it's faster especially if you're not a techie person co'z you'll need third party software to "clean" your OS. registry cleaner etc... besides, it pays to have a freshly installed OS.

MS Outlook -> just search for *.pst files and make a backup of those files. Archives are located at the C:\Documents and Settings folder by default. search for *.pab if you're using a separate address book.

Do you really need all the applications currently installed in your computer? if not, then it's better to reinstall your OS and then install only the applications you need. that way your registry info will be small and it'll help speed up the loading of applications. make a list of those software and post it here.. someone might be able to help u with that. (u have to take care of the license issues though)

If you want to reinstall WinXP, use a WinXP with integrated SP2 cd. there will be no issues if you have the right driver for your bluetooth device after installing your OS. if you have an original XP, you can make your own WinXP installer w/ integrated SP2. the procedure's in the net.

warcraft 3? i might have one.

lols. nevermind bout the warcraft 3. palit nalang ko orig. hehehe. as for OUTLOOK ty guys for your inputs.
tried na jud na nako ang kanang streamlined na OS, kanang gina integrate ang sp2. dili jud mo work ang bluetooth. (naa to sa thread ni ryanarctech b4, iyang comments bout sp2 and bluetooth).

and yes. i will fix the problem first. unya kung mosamot ang loading.. mao nato last resort nalang ang reformatting..

but if you dont mind me asking.. does it apply to all PCs na magka dugay, mohinay jud?
