Naa ra ang link. Investment Company Association of the Philippines
Opening a Mutual Fund account is 5K Minimum and additional investment is 1K minimum.

I'm a license broker-dealer for PhilEquity Funds, PAMI(PhilAm Asset Management INC), United Funds. PM me.

Mutual Fund is like an alternative for time deposit annual return is 12% on average, it could even grow more than 20%.
Just click on that link. YTD% means Year To Date, it means that If you invested a year ago, that is the ROI of your investment as of NOW

1 Year Return means, If you invested Last Jan 1, 2010, that is the rate of return in percentage as of NOW.

That is why it is the best to invest your money directly into a mutual fund because it is usually where the bank is growing your money and the bank will promise you less than 3%. Hehehe! It is funny but alot of people are letting there money sleeps without knowing the real rate of return of their money, most people don't know the effect of inflation in the long term.

Investing in a mutual fund is an ownership/shareholder of the fund, if you grow your money in the bank your a loaner not an owner.

3 Kinds of fund in a Mutual Fund:
    1.) Stocks/Equities
2.) Balanced (Stocks and Government Securities)
    3.) Bonds (Governement securities)

This is one vehicles of the wealthy people because it has no TAX when you redeem your investments.
Unlike in the bank, when you redeem your time deposits, it has TAX.

Sa PhilEquity Fund 3.5% ang management fees. Refer to link Philequity Management, Inc.)

Sa FAMI kay 2% ang management fees. Refer to link (FEES AND CHARGES : First Metro Asset Management Inc)

Naa diha ang details sa Fees.

I can help you just set an appointment with me. PM me.

A mutual fund is not a deposit product and is not insured with the Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC).
A mutual fund is buying of shares, your an owner. Unlike sa bank na you are a loaner. Bank invested your money here.
This is much safer vehicle than the bank because your investment is spread into diversified stock portfolioes. Growing your money in a bank is much riskier in the long term because of inflation.

Investment 101 : Inflation is the rise of prices of goods, services overtime. Example : Your 1 peso coin 15 years ago can buy 6 pieces of bread but your 1 peso today can't even buy 1 piece of bread.

Rich Dad Poor Dad said that the value of a dollar/Pesos lessens it's value overtime that is why you need to invest not just saving but save to invest.

for time deposit na php50,000 say tenure is 30 days interest is only 2.5% subject to 20% withholding tax. so computation wise:

    50,000 * 2.5% * 30/365 = 102/month * 80% = PHP81.60 NET imo madawat in 30 days.

Ang mutual fund is like buying a piece of land. But a mutual fund is a paper asset not a solid asset.
Just think of a mutual fund is like a parcel of a land that you buy per sq. meters. We know land always appreciates it's value over time, same as mutual fund. Mutual fund is a paper asset. Mutual fund is very liquid, you can always sell your shares anytime you want

It is where most of the bank invest your money. Example PhilEquity (Oldest Mutual fund in the country). BPI invested their money in that fund, I know it because I as a shareholder of the fund, we can received annual financial reports. Mutual fund is invested in diiversified stock portfolioes.

The risk in a mutual fund in the fluctuations of the NAVPS through time but you can mimimize the risk but using peso cost-averaging and do it for long term. Mutual fund minimizes the risk in long term.

Mutual fund is the greatest equalizer, do you know why?
You know that SM is a very good business and you want to become a business partner with Henry Sy, do you think you have an opportunity? My answer is big YES, do you know why? Your money in a Mutual Fund is manage by a Fund Manager and he wil be the one to buy SM shares for you. That is the concept. Most of the people think that mutual fund is only for the wealthy people, WRONG!! In the reality, the mission of mutual fund is to let everyone experience the same Rate of Return of what the wealthy people are doing.

The psychology behind Investing is like going out from our comfort zones. We can never be successful in life we don't go out from our comfort zones. You can never do great somethings in life if we don't change our values.
