I agree with fishtea, we know all about SC1/Broodwar, so its really unfair to compare both. But you cant expect any groundbreaking changes, cuz its StarCraft 2 afterall, not another game, so of course there are lots of similarities. Most sequels are like that, even Call of Dutys multiple sequels... and lots of people still buy it!

And if anyone who bought WC3/Diablo 2(not pirated but original), it was $60 as well(that was year 2000 and 2003!). SC1 was $50 cuz it was 12 years ago. A decade ago's $50 is today's $60. So we cant blame them for the price. Last time I checked, Blzizard is still a business company, a company that produces quality games.

My only complain is why our price is higher than the US.

"the standard box set includes the dog tag (without the USB drive). if you preorder there is a chance that on launch date, there will be additional freebies (i.e. shirts, gaming mice) but that is a local effort, which is not part of blizzard’s box. again, this is not yet confirmed to be 100% true but the locals are trying their best to get these freebies"

i think the extra freebies though are for those who attend the launching lol

and with regards to the event, its kinda cancelled. wala tingali na aprove ni blizzard ang plan nila for the event XP
