It went against the Biblical story, that Joshua commanded that the Sun should stand still and not the earth. It also overthrew the prevailing religious conviction then that the earth had to be at the center because we were supposed to be the center of God's attention.

(2) The earth is not the center of the world, nor motionless, but it moves as a whole and also with diurnal motion.

Assessment: All said that this proposition receives the same judgement in philosophy and that in regard to theological truth it is at least errouneous in faith.

i believe there's God and that He created life for His purpose.

i believe science was created by man to know the complexity of life and that science was created to study the ways and process of life, more so science wants to explain the Bible according to its ways.
