Yeah, I agree. All I have to say, how could someone buys a luxury car just to transport 90 grams of weed? That's bad business. How many trips do you have to make with an individual cooler with 90 grams of weed to eventually pay for the luxury car that you're delivering it in?
Marijuana is $10/g. So 90 grams would be $900.
I bet are all talking about how great they would look in a Raptors uniform.
If all of the "plans" listed in the article are accurate, then I have a couple of observations.
1 - Due to the potential cost of Gay, Brewer and Randolph, I'm further convinced any team could outbid the Grizz for Marc Gasol next summer. Again, that's assuming they manage to keep the other 3 as planned.
2 - It might be possible for any team to buy a 1st round pick from Memphis. Hiesley has been losing money. Re-signing Gay and Brewer will be costly.
They still plan to take the best player available regardless of position during the June 24 draft.
They still plan to re-sign Rudy Gay and Ronnie Brewer during the free-agent period.
They still plan to negotiate with Zach Randolph regarding a contract extension.
They still are lecturing Randolph on being more careful about the company he keeps.
The Grizzlies are in the same mode of operation they employed a week ago before Randolph produced his latest double-double: mentions in two separate police reports in less than 24 hours.
Randolph was implicated in an Indianapolis drug investigation and Los Angeles-area strip club fight but the All-Star forward has avoided charges and arrest in both cases.
Yes, the Grizzlies are frustrated in the wake of this public relations hit. But to the question of whether Randolph's latest controversy will re-shape the Grizzlies' draft and/or free-agent strategy, the answer is no.
The organization finds Randolph's predicament disappointing but not at all detrimental to their offseason plans.
The issue of whether Randolph will receive a contract extension that will keep him in a Grizzlies uniform beyond this season remains centered on finances. Randolph's future hinges squarely on how much of a pay cut he's willing to accept.
In the meantime, the Griz will continue to look for shooting, backcourt help and ways to bolster their bench with Randolph wholeheartedly in their plans.

Inside Report: Ramping up for the Draft and free agency
June is an interesting month for every NBA team. Only two squads are playing in the Finals. Meanwhile, 28 other organizations are sitting at home in front of the tube like everyone else -- with their minds on the upcoming Draft and the most-discussed summer of free agency in league history. All are hoping to hoist up the Larry O'Brien trophy around this same time next year. The Dallas Mavericks are no different.
After the Mavericks' first-round playoff exit in six games to the San Antonio Spurs, the team immediately turned its attention to a busy and hectic summer. From making a push to bring in a top-tier free agent to re-signing in-house free-agents-to-be, the Mavs' front office figures to be very active in the coming months.
"We're working on a lot of things...We have a lot of things in the works," president of basketball operations and GM Donnie Nelson simply would say in regard to the organization's summer plans.
But Nelson and Mavericks owner Mark Cuban have made it clear that they are willing to do whatever it takes to build a title contender in Big D. With a competitive spirit, Cuban and Nelson are actively exploring all options to help the Mavs reach their ultimate goal.
"Both Mark and management are determined to do whatever we have to do," Nelson said.
And while the Mavericks are sure to put on their best full-court press to attract a big-name free agent, they're also not overlooking the Draft, which sits a little over three weeks away.
With no first-round pick, the organization is hopeful that they can find two steals in the second round. Armed with the 50th and 57th selections, the Mavericks are looking for young, talented players capable of stepping in and contributing -- players that can line up alongside future Hall of Famers Dirk Nowitzki and Jason Kidd, while also building a bond with first-year standout Rodrigue Beaubois and four-year guard J.J. Barea.
"The good thing is that we've got some good, young, exciting pieces -- coupled with the experience of Dirk and Jason (Kidd). We feel like with a couple of additions, we'll be right back in the thick of things next year," Nelson said.
But drafting in the second round can best be described as a "crapshoot," often times leading teams to select players that are looked at as projects with potential. With a veteran core and emerging youth in the backcourt, Mavs coach Rick Carlisle understands that the team is not looking to re-tool. Instead, the coach would like to bring in players with upside that can be a part of the team's future plans, while also lending a helping hand during a championship run next year.
"We've got to understand that this is something that's not going to happen over night," Carlisle said. "There's going to be growing pains, there's going to be ups and downs, but we're going to be steadfast in how we approach it."
With that said, the Mavericks have circled June 24 (the night of the NBA Draft) and July 1 (the start of free agency) on their calender.

MAVERICKS: Inside Report: Ramping up for the Draft and free agency
Don't know much about him as a coach, but I guess if you can't get Thibodeau, he's probably the next best assistant coach avaliable. The New Orleans Hornets quickly reached an agreement Friday night with Portland Trail Blazers assistant coach Monty Williams to be their next head coach after Boston Celtics assistant Tom Thibodeau withdrew from consideration earlier in the day, according to sources close to the situation.
Sources told ESPN.com that Williams' deal will be made official no later than Saturday after Thibodeau, who was offered New Orleans' job last week, informed the Hornets that he plans to pursue opportunities with the Chicago Bulls and New Jersey Nets.
Sources: Philadelphia 76ers trade center Samuel Dalembert to Sacramento Kings - ESPN
The Philadelphia 76ers have agreed to swap Samuel Dalembert to the Sacramento Kings for Andres Nocioni and Spencer Hawes, two league sources told ESPN.com.
The deal was agreed to on Tuesday night and the two teams have been working out details Thursday morning. Barring some last-minute hitch the trade should be completed as early as Thursday afternoon, according to the sources.
The deal will give the Kings a player they've long coveted in Dalembert. The Kings tried to make several deals with the Sixers last year for Dalembert but couldn't make it happen.
Sacramento has been unhappy with its rebounding and shotblocking in the post. Dalembert makes a lot of money ($12.9 million next year) but he's in the last year of his deal.
The trade gives the Sixers a physical combo forward in Nocioni and an up-and-coming big man in Hawes.
But the real ramifications may come during the draft. The Sixers have been deciding between Evan Turner and Derrick Favors with the No. 2 pick. While Sixers general manager Ed Stefanski is a Turner fan, new coach Doug Collins is high on Favors. With Dalembert gone and Nocioni in, it could push them in the direction of Favors.
For the Kings, this could also change their draft equation. The team has been looking at drafting DeMarcus Cousins and Greg Monroe, both centers. With this deal, it could allow them to address another need at the three. The Kings have been high on both Al-Farouq Aminu and Gordon Hayward.
Mavericks: Of Hog Bellies And A German Kid Named Tibor Pleiss
By Mike Fisher -- DB.com
Sunday Morning Mavs Donuts ... Mavs GM Donnie Nelson reminds us that the upcoming NBA Draft is like "hog bellies'' -- and DallasBasketball.com reminds you that one of the hog bellies we think the Mavs like is the 7-foot German kid Tibor Pleiss. That would explain the "move-up'' talk and it would also explain Donnie's recent overseas trip ... That, plus more Draft gossip, some in-game shenanigans, *** with Eva Longoria and ... Happy Father's Day!
Mavs GM Donnie Nelson's quote to Eddie Sefko on rolling the dice in the NBA Draft: "There are always surprises in every draft,'' Nelson said. "This is like predicting futures, whether it's real estate, artwork, hog bellies. …’’
Here’s hoping the Mavs find more hog bellies and less horses’ asses.
In this same DB.com Boards thread, by the way, comes another mention of Tibor Pleiss.
He’s a 7-footer, he’s from Germany and when I recently asked Donnie about him, he said, “The kid can shoot it.’’
One more hint at the Mavs interest here: DallasBasketball.com is being told that Donnie himself recently traveled to Europe – and that Pleiss was among the sites he visited.
