sa UAAP ug NCAA ang imports ky mga non-filipino students rna cla sa skul kung asa cla ng.duwa. so they are foreign born students (walay filipino roots) nga g.recruit or ngpa.enroll ana na skul. so they are not technically called imports, they are more of a foreign born players which doesn't have any filipino roots.. each team can have 2 foreign born player in their roster, with only one allowed to play at time...

kung si ricky rubio decides to enroll in ateneo, he can be recruited to play for the blue eagles in collegiate leagues which ateneo joins as a school varsity team. but he cant play for the pbl, pba or other commercial tournaments (amateur or pro) unless its an import laced tournament and he suits up as an import.

The University of the East Red Warriors

    Who's Gone:
Elmer Espiritu, Pari Llagas, Rudy Lingganay, Toto Bandaying and Val Acuna are all graduating
Is Paul Lee staying or headed for the PBA? Was placing Lee on a different PBL team from his collegiate teammates a sign of things to come, or a coaching strategy by Lawrence Chongson? His draft stock's never been higher, and it might be hard to compete with a rookie-laden cast in Season 73.

    Who's Still Around:
Paul Lee (maybe), Raphy Reyes, Paul Zamar, Garrick Ayala, Lucas Tagarda, Erwin Duran, Ken Acibar, John Ray Alabanza, Jairold Flores, John Noble and Jhon Sumido

    Recruits:
It's all about height for UE. One forum lists a 6'4" Limpat, who is a transferee from Informatics, and an Ortiz from Bacolod, who is supposedly 6'9".
A recent Philippine Star article lists the following recruits: Jun Resopa (6'5"), formerly of Letran high school; half-Korean Sam Razon (6'5"), a Team B call-up; UE high school talent Adie Santos (6'4"); and a transferee from Lyceum, Biboy Enguio. Of the four, Resopa looks to have the most talent. Despite his height, Resopa is supposedly accurate with his shot all the way out to the three-point line. He reminds some people of a taller Mark Borboran.

    Adamson Soaring Falcons

    Who’s Gone:
Aldrin Margallo and Leo Canuday have graduated.
Allan Santos, who disappeared from the line-up midway through last season, will supposedly not return for the Falcons. He was dismissed from the team after breaking curfew and showing up to practice the next day reeking of alcohol, according to reports.
Chris Sandoval and Chesmar Lapitan have presumably been moved to Team B.

    Who’s Still Around:
Lester Alvarez, Alex Nuyles, Jerick Canada, Arnold Basilio, RR Cabrera, Raymond Penalosa, Eric Camson, Jan Colina, and Michael Galinato

    Recruits:
Austin Manara – The usual young big man caveats apply for this 6'7" Kenyan import: can’t hit free throws, doesn’t have any post moves, and can’t impose himself on smaller defenders. That said, he’s an immediate upgrade over Michael Gallinato, and his athleticism ought to help him pull down rebounds.
If Adamson is intent on adding Manara to the line-up, they’ll have to choose between two of their Guamanian imports. There’s Brian Susuico, a 6'5" burlier version of Manara who might be better in the post than the Kenyan, and there’s William Stignette, a 6-footer who can play the 1 to 3 positions in college.
A recent Inboundpass.com article mentioned a few other newcomers: Rondney Brondial and Ryan Montecarlo.
The team is also hoping that shooting guard King Importante will finally be able to suit up and play for them. Importante was actually on the submitted roster at the start of the UAAP season, but eligibility issues forced him off. Importante was at the heart of the eligibility scandal that caused the ouster of PCU from the NCAA.
