look at the reviews first for the iPad, MS Windows Tablet is not yet available.
then Ipad la pa marelease sa philippines so all you can do is read any reviews about the gadget.

@kolot182 could you state which TVC/program you saw the MS Windows Tablet? I believe even HP's answer to iPad has been scrapped, or at least delayed, and will not have windows 7 but instead will use android's OS... there was this iPad competitor (i forgot the name, but its created in the Euro side) but I dont expect it to go any where near iPad's market share, even if it has better features than the iPad...

Ask yourself this. "Do I want a full blown OS on my tablet so that I get most of the functionality and benefits of Windows 7 like I do on my desktop/laptop?" If the answer is YES then go get yourself a Windows 7 tablet. There's a few available right now and more coming later.

If however your answer is NO, and you just want a simple easy to use device to consume media, read e-books, play games, browse the web occasionally, send emails, and wanna look a total tosser while you hang out at your local Starbucks with your latte then go get an iPad.

Also if you wanna wait for a little while, there are some interesting tablets coming soon running on Android. Not the mention Microsoft finally realized that not everyone want's the baggage of full OS on these devices so they recently announced at Computex their update to Windows CE called 'Windows Embedded Compact 7' (yeah catchy name Microsoft) which I assume will run on devices with an ARM chip on it. And as someone mentioned already, HP might relaunch their Slate device only this time running on WebOS (now that they bought Palm).

At the end of the day though, it's quite funny to think that tablet form factors aren't that new and they have been around for years now. The majority of us just didn't pay much attention. It took one guy on a black turtleneck sweatshirt, Levis jeans, and tennis shoes, and with his fruit company to tell the world that yeah you don't really need these things.... but you want one anyway.

Windows isn't really that good as a touch OS, while Apple's iOS was built from ground up to be a touch OS

screw windows tablet. ipad is the top dog imho! sad thing is that it doesnt support adobe flash haiizz tae sad ni c steve jobs oi. But all in all, if you want to look cool and impress the girls at starbucks(if thats what your into) iPad is the way to go, maayu jud muhimu ug design ang apple. chic magnet ayu ilang devices. i remember first time i got my itouch girls were swarming over me lol

anyway if you got money to spare, i suggest you wait for the Iphone 4, waaaayyy coooler tricks up its sleeve
