Boy Abunda should not be hired as a DOT Secretary or in any gov't position primarily because he is a close family friend. It should solely be based on credentials and years of experience in the said position. Unfortunately, it is still the president's prerogative to appoint whomever he chooses for appointive government posts. I hope Aquino's administration will not have any midnight appointments or Kris Aquino's personal manicurist and gardener representing government offices and agencies.
