check your motherboard features. makita pud na sa bios as what danteDMC posted.

if you want to install win98 in an old pc from usb(kay wlay drive and dli mo boot from usb), you can boot from floppy then execute the win98 installer from within usb flash drive. but you have to access that drive first while booted from floopy. i remember i came across a website nga naay resources para ani. try google.

imagination rani nako, pwde pud islave nimo ang win98 hdd sa laing pc then icopy ang win98 installer. then boot from floppy, i think fat dapat ang filesystem para ma-access ang drive after floppy boot. hope this helps.

Sorry mga bro but I am not trying to install a windows 98 via USB drive. I just need to boot DOS from the win98 boot disk, which is successfully done. ^_^

Yes, I also know about the mobos that it needs to support to boot up via USB drives. Ang ako lang is naa uban PC/notebooks na dili mo boot up sa ako nahimo na drive and ang uban mo work. Dayon boot selection gud it can sense my flash drive pero after selecting it, sometimes it returns an error or it just hangs up.

Do you think I need to tweak something from the BIOS to make it work? and what specifically pud.
