i suggest you work muna as oracle dba. Maghiring mi diri ug Oracle DBAs from time to time. You can also try Norkis Yamaha. Nothing beats experience. personally i don't like certifications. That's akin to paying someone (in this case Oracle) to say you're good. Honestly, bai if you know how good you are you don't need someone to say that for you. If imo target american company mabawi ra na sa diskarte. They are more particular in how you project your competence. Google around for job hunting tips.

Ako i'm no certified Apache Administrator nor am I an Oracle DBA or Application Server certified. Hell, I don't even know how to tinker with a SunFire server yet I am entrusted to assist our sysad to 10 of them. Take note ha I was chosen over a dozen other candidates with better credentials than I am. Yet I can still pull of some interviews telling my experience. Ang importante ana bai is YOU KNOW - Period.

To me certificates are nothing more than an expensive toilet paper.

Btw, I asked our Oracle DBA. Naa daw sa "prometric" at CIE ang Oracle certification center. You may need to confirm this i'm not familiar with it.

bosing tokidoki, thank you for the info sa Oracle certification center. i just got interested sa oracle certification kay most of the job postings for oracle dba ebutang man jud nga preferably with oracle certification. pero mura dili jud maafford sa ultimo nga emplelyado ang certification sa oracle, ok ra kung sponsor sa company. for OCA lang mga 215 dollars jud magasto.
