for me it's not ok. if you can stretch out your pocket. just look for msi 230. if you can wait, just visit commdap exhibit in cebu 2010 (july) . basin mag sale sila sa msi u100.
you should know what you're going to use it for. and know the capabilities of the netbook. try to see of kaya ra ba sa netbook imong gusto buhaton with it... kung dili gani, then ayaw palit. pangita ug system nga mo-suit sa imong needs.
yeah i'd rather search more, naa man gud dinalian diri sa office. hehe thank you
using msi u100 here. ubuntu 10.04 ang OS. it works great! battery life is at three hours max, full graphic fx. don't know the performance in windows, whatever flavor. have windows as dual boot pero tagsa ra makatilaw ug windows ni akong netbook.
what other posters are saying are true, though. figure out what you want. me, coding, net-surfing, quick file access and other office/school type work lang. games, graphics design are not the best with this netbook. that's because the processor is not that powerful and the screen will make you go blind if you do graphics work with it. pero, if you want mobility and a handy computer, okay kaayo siya. di ba mao pud na ang dapat purpose sa mobile computer/laptop? like linus said: "netbooks are laptops done right" -or something like that.
dont buy sub-notebooks, kanang computer nga walay cd-rom kay pwerteng hasula kung mag reformat ka puhon. I mean every computer needs to be reformatted in the future kung ma corrupt ang system. dili man gud na malikayan. it happens even if you have up to date anti-virus. kanang mga sub-notebooks bati kaayo nag bios, libog kaayo. ang uban pud ana wala naka partition ang drive which puts you to bigger disadvantage kay once ma corrupt ang system file, pag bug down sa computer, sorry nalang imo important files. buy the ones with built-in cd-rom. extend your budget. it may sound too much now but if mang hiyawat ka nga makabarato by buying sub-notebooks, mas mo dako ang gasto nimo sometime in the future. Buy Panasonic, Fujitsu, Toshiba, or Asus.
whats the used of usb port. you can format or install windows. that's it so simple.netbooks is intended for surfing, document processing , even light gaming.
get whats suited for your use. netbooks not for you kai gamay screen, wala cdrom, libug ug bios etc etc etc, then its really not for u.
like what regilsolon said, netbooks are meant for whats its intended to do.. get a laptop or maybe a PC.
you can always buy an external dvd rom.
