naa q question para sa mga evolution... ngutana lng ba... with no malicious intent...
after a few millons/billions of years from now... although i don't believe nga maabot pa ta anang panahona...
assuming lang... unsay mahitabo sa tawo? will he evolve into other form?
hmmm...when people start their question with that line, I expect a punchline somewhere .

Okay, your question actually assumes two things. First, it assumes that we, homo sapiens, will survive "a few millions/billions of years from now". Second, it assumes that we are still evolving. I don't think you, as a fundamentalist Christian, believe either of the two. I guess you lean more toward the belief that the end times are coming soon...to put it in your phraseology, that the vale of tears would be lifted by the rapture and all will be revealed soon. Isn't that right? Just look at the number of end-times prediction you guys have made and got it all wrong. Over 200 of them throughout history and counting (check out this link: Over 220 failed predictions). Famous one I can remember was by the American Evangelist, Hal Lindsey (the guy who made the documentary The Late, Great Planet Earth), who predicted the end of world to occur somewhere in the 80s. And yes, he got it wrong too. But one things is for sure though, one day, you'll most certainly get it right. Just like what a financial analyst once said: "I figure lots of predictions is best. People will forget the ones I get wrong and marvel over the rest."

Secondly, you don't believe in human evolution. Actually, if you honestly take everything that's said in the Bible as the literal truth, you have to uphold that all creatures on earth were made all at once and have never evolved...let alone will evolve in the future. You guys have to believe in the talking snake who tricked a naked woman in the Garden. You have to believe that the Tower of Babel story was the origin of the different languages. You have to believe in 600-900+ year old prophets. You have to believe in all sorts of un-provable absurdities (at least in my opinion). I have to say that, between the claims of science and religion, you guys have a whole lot of explaining to do. That's why you guys need to make, as Kierkegaard puts it, that "leap of faith".

To answer your question, I think we have to ask first: Are we still evolving? I think you'll get different answers. A few would say no and point out that we're just a single species. Or as Stephen Jay Gould puts it "There has been no biological change in humans in 40,000 or 50,000 years." Some would say yes and no. They'd say yes and point out that natural selection still operates in places like Africa, where selective pressures favor mutations that resist lethal diseases. And they'd say no because they believe that, in the developed world, human evolution is over. Other experts believe our biological evolution has not only proceeded but has sped up! This point of view is argued very forcefully in the book "The 10,000 Year Explosion: How Civilization Accelerated Human Evolution" by evolutionary biologist Gregory Cochran.

Now, with our technology to sequence genomes and our complete sequencing of the human genome, in particular, the consensus on whether we're still evolving comes down to a matter of degree. Only a few would claim out our evolution has completely stopped. The genetic evidence for our own natural selection are to be found in mutations that confer survival benefits or advantages. Strongest evidence of this mutation concern genes that correlate with certain infectious diseases or genes for lactose tolerance or genes that make us absorb vitamin D from sunlight better (for calcium absorption) or FOXP2--the gene that has been implicated in the development of speech and language.

If we are to speculate (because the question asks for a speculation) what happens to our species a few millions/billions of years from now: Well, would we look like big-headed aliens since selection pressures seem to focus on intelligence? That's impossible to say for certain. In other words, we really don't know.

i find it funny that evolution-people kept on asking evidence on the existence of God... while in the first place... they haven't even gave us yet (or never) the totally convincing link between humans and the ape-like creatures that they're saying... but instead... they gave us the genetic similarities of monkeys and humans... and they are already convinced by it...

as ive said before... "logic" is our evidence... and a Supreme Being exists...

wait... hilig ka'g links noh: Does the DNA similarity between chimps and humans prove a common ancestry? - ChristianAnswers.Net

if these people just read/believe the Bible... they will never give you false/inaccurate predictions... why?
    Matthew 24:36
"No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father."

therefore... they are ALL false prophets... and i am not part of these people... coz my faith will never predict an exact date of the Second Coming... better just be prepared... coz basin ugma... in 100 years... 1000 years... 1 million years... nobody knows... "only" the Father knows...
