.dat can contain video streams... VCD files have .dat extension..

best way to to detect virues is to use reliable Antivirus Softwares. coz this programs in-depth scan the files, not by just looking at it's extension.

if in case you deleted a critical file mistakenly, you might mess up your computer.. hehe!

It may not be a simple as simply deleting the file. Sophisticated viruses try to mimic and even attach itself to crucial system files. I've encountered cleaning a unit of the infected files and only to have them reinstalled once I rebooted the unit. You can start by installing a good anti-virus software, keep it up-to-date and have it scan your unit once in a while. There are some good software programs available on the Internet for free.

For Windows, before running the Combofix, first you have to turn off your System Monitoring. This is located in Control Panel >> System >> System Restore. After that, you can then run the Combofix and just follow instructions on the screen.

.exe .vbs pwede sad. Kana pud folder ang icon pero application diay na virus. Magbantay jud ka ana kasagaran sa usb.

mostly on usb thumb drives you can find a lot of .inf files infecting it..try to include it in the extension list of probable virus attacks..^_^..
