What will happen to TIMES SQUARE INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RESOURCES?

    TIMES SQUARE INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RESOURCES
Every Call Center Agents' dream job would be to work in one of the big companies in Singapore. Others would fly to Singapore just to try their luck and apply continously even if it takes months until getting a job.
Now, here comes an agency in the name of TIMES SQUARE INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RESOURCES which is located in Mandaue, announcing that they are hiring call center agents for Singapore.
First step is to know if the agency is POEA licensed. Checked with POEA and was told that there is a job order for a hundred call center agents. If you check also online you will be able to see that the agency is Managed by Alexis Uy and is in GOOD STANDING and license expires on July 2010.
    No doubt.
Second step is to pass the requirements/documents that are needed to prove that you are ready to go abroad like passport, nbi, TOR and others.
Third, after all the preparations, here comes the interview with the client (Singaporean). He will interview you for probably 5 minutes because there are hundreds of applicants waiting to be interviewed.
After the interview, you will be called to have your medical check up with their partner clinic (St. Peter-Paul in colon) You will be asked to pay P2,200. So, to make the long story short after you pass the medical exams, the agency will call you and will tell you that you are now ready for the next stage! How exciting! EPASS - yehey!
Employment Pass needed for foreigners who wants to work in singapore...
They will ask you to sign an acceptance letter that after you pay them $500 it will NOT be refunded since there is a risk with applications specially in Singapore. Ministry of Manpower - MOM may reject applications.
They will call you to remind you of the payment. They will even give you a deadline of the payment and will tell you that they will process the next applicants if you will not be able to pay $500 or P18000.
So, you will have to use your savings (if you have) or borrow from family or friends(tell them that you will be working in Singapore).
After paying, they will tell you that it will take 2 to 3 weeks to know if the application is approved or rejected.
So, everyday you will have to call them to check if there is a result of your application. They will tell you to callback.
After almost a month of sleepless nights and calling the agency, they will tell you that your application has been rejected and you will have to wait for 6 months to re apply. (WHAT)
$500 or P18000 lost in space!!! without even a reason why you were rejected or a sign from the agency that they will fight for you so that you can get a job in Singapore. How can I repay my friend's money
After the TRAGIC/TRAUMATIC moment, I did a little research on why I was rejected (note: my school was on MOM's list, my experience with call centers - excellent) .
    >>>>The agency TIMES SQUARE INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RESOURCES was asked/hired by HUMSEARCH RESOURCES (agency in singapore) from Singapore to get Call Center Agents for DESSUS Company.
So, It is not TIMES SQUARE INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RESOURCES who will process the EPASS but HUMSEARCH During application process they will not tell you that they were hired by an agency to get people here in Cebu.
    >>>>> EPASS requires a basic salary of $2500
offer letter from DESSUS Company states only $1800
So, surely during application it will be rejected

    >>>>> EPASS application online can be paid if you have an EP account with only $10
So, what happened to our $500 If the EPASS Fee is only $10 What happened to our $490
    Gone with the wind

    >>>>> EPASS results when you apply online is within 7 days...
So, why did it take a month for TIMES SQUARE INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RESOURCES to tell applicants that applications were rejected We have been calling the agency almost everyday to know the results of the application. Why did they hide the results to applicants.

    >>>>> EPASS applications IF REJECTED, you can appeal within a month.
So, Why did TIMES SQUARE INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RESOURCES inform us that they will re apply after 6 months Clearly they do not know the process. Or, they just dont want to appeal for the applicants because they already have our $500.

    >>>>> EPASS applications IF REJECTED, the agency can now view reasons for rejection (if any) but agency insists that there are NO REASONS for rejection of EPASS and you will have to respect decision of MOM. So, common sense will tell us that MOM could just pick ANYBODY

Because of this, POEA was asked to call on TIMES SQUARE INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RESOURCES if they could refund the $500 EPASS application fees since they are not helping the applicants.
There is a big difference with $500 and $10 application fee.
    Where did the $490 go

TIMES SQUARE INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RESOURCES COULD NOT EXPLAIN WHERE THE MONEY IS. instead they offered $100

    Mangtas1990: very informative post.

wala na ko kabasa sa tanan post but naa pud ko advice... i decided to share this with you after reading the post of mangtas. If you are hired by an agency here or being considered for an interview, make sure you know who their contact person/company is on the other side (wherever you are headed to...US, Sing, HK or elsewhere). I was considered for an interview for a teaching position in the US. I first applied 2008 pa. I don't know what happened in between but in the recent months, they have been emailing me that definitely this May na daw. Anyhow, I got hold of the name of the company (and persons involved in the company). I searched the internet.... LO & BEHOLD!!!! naa silay kaso sa US about smuggling people there to teach then when these teachers arrive sa US, wala diay work for them. And they charge over 10,000 US dollars... I read their case sa internet and called the next day and told them that I was not interested anymore. I did not give any reason na...

SO... jobless lang ghapon ko but then dili kulba akong life. Imagine being caught empty handed in a foreign place with utang pa gyud sa fees na imung gi pay.

    Just wanted to share this...

the philippine agency is okay. i checked sa POEA. medyo expensive nuon but okay daw as per poea website. ang sa US company, gi sulti man sa philippine agency kung unsa ilang counterpart didto and the CEO came over for a briefing..mao tu nakuha ang name. I don't really know what got into me nga ako man gipangita sa google ang name ug nakurat ko. so instead of "risking" more than 500K di nalang ko. for me... better safe than sorry. wal nuon ko work ... hehehe
