If Barrack Obama is the first black US president, the Phillippines, according to the latest counts, might have our very first black vice president in the person of Jejomar Binay. Binay is surprisingly leading against the supposedly more popular Mar Roxas for the vice-presidential contest.

I voted for Roxas during the last election, but there would be no problem for me if Binay wins. I also believe his sincerity in helping the poor and making our country progressive like what he did in Makati.
