is there a fast craft from cebu (either pier 1 or mandaue) that travels in the morning? or do we have to go to danao to take the morning shuttle?

Going to Camotes you mean? Camotes group of Islands is composed of Pacijan Island, Poro Island, and Ponson Island. There's a boat from the city going to Poro Island. But I think the beaches you'd want to go to is in Pacijan Island. The boat ride from the city to Poro, if I remember right, would take about 4 hours. I suggest you just go to Danao and take the boat from there. This one goes to Consuelo Port, which is in Pacijan Island.

For Malapascua, I would recommend Hippocampus, Dano (they have the widest beachfront), Exotic, and Aabana. You can find a lot of information here: Malapascua Island Visayan Sea Philippines

For Camotes (in Pacijan Island), I only know of these resorts:

Santiago Bay Garden and Resort

Masamayor's Beach House and Resort

Nindot ang Malapascua if you want a place where you can really relax But if you want parties, then I don't think Malapascua is for you.

I've been to Malapascua naman. Nindot pud siya, chill kaau ka didto. La pa nuon q kaadto Camotes, i wanna go there !
