here's your request mam balot IMAL..

basically, the airplane's tail section or empennage is composed of mainly a horizontal and vertical structure...the stationary horizontal structure is the horizontal stabilizer and the moving section behind it is called the elevators...the elevators contribute for pitch (nose up or nose down) control...the stationary vertical structure is called the vertical stabilizer which acts much the same as a shark's fin. behind it is a moving structure called the rudder which contributes to the yawing (nose left or nose right) movement of the aircraft..trim tabs are also employed to either any of the control surfaces so that the pilot wouldnt need to hold and maintain constant pressure on the controls...

have you ever wondered what are those basic instruments pilots look at on their panels so they could fly the plane?

    here they are...the basic 6...

starting on the upper leftmost instrument is the airspeed indicator...it functions much the same as a vehicles speedometer but this instrument relies on ram air that is picked up by the speed sensing probe outside the aircraft called the pitot tube. on the upper center is the attitude indicator which i have already discussed on the previous pages..on the upper right, is the altimeter...it displays how high the aircraft is in terms of feet...on the lower left is the turn and slip coordinator which has a miniature airplane to display in what direction the plane is turning into..it also has a ball enclosed in a tube which displays the direction the plane is slipping during a turn..this ball helps the correction of a slip by reminding which rudder pedal to step on to compensate for slips during turns. on the lower center is the heading indicator...this instrument displays the current heading the aircraft is travelling to in terms of degrees...next to it is the vertical speed indicator which displays the airplane's rate of ascent or descent in terms of feet per minute...
