Well, it's like this 'Science' is the stage and the scientists are the puppets...and whose pulling the strings? - corporations. Now, do we just believe that huge corporations simply fund (I mean huge funds!) certain research for humanity's sake? When all is said and done the bottom line is profit...this what drives them. Let's admit it...no money no Science for 'em scientific dudes.

Science had already built the world fastest particle collider and yet we haven't heard anything about large scale research for a cheap alternative fuel to replace fossil fuel...despite all the blah-blah about the diminishing oil reserves of the world that justifies the never ending increase of crude oil in the market.

I read somewhere that oil reserves never really depletes but are constantly replenish by natural actions underneath earth's crust. Of course this sounds like a conspiracy tingy because the studies were not done with a corporate 'seal' back by 'shock and awe' marketing blitz..hehe ...CNN is simply Corporate News Network..they sucks! har!

Ever wonder who killed the Philippines Coconut industry...well some labs in the other side of the world came with a finding that there is some sort of toxin in the coconut oil that can cause cancer or whatever. After that our coconut industry simply nosedive...

Hahaha...this is a friggin BS! by now filipinos are dying by the thousands for using coconut oil every friggin day in cooking their food. Hell, they why don't they just shut off the sun since it can cause skin cancer.

Same thing almost happen to Malaysia's palm industry in the 70's from the Center for Science in the Public Interest of the big US of A...and now they want to ram GMO's into our throats despite counter study against it.

What's that Science as a political tools too? You mean like TRO's in our judiciary system...genius!

Why should we fear science? Its our only reliable source of answers to the things happening around us.

I was wondering if the science we are getting is the same science for the people who are giving it to us. Science is readily accepted as a universal truth. When one states "according to science", people automatically understand that as being true. We are ordinary people whose means of research are limited. Internet sources can hardly be credible. We can't possibly have a laboratory of our own to really see the empirical evidence "science people" proclaim. Although we can have simple experiments that can validate simple science. But about the complicated stuff, I feel we get the shortcut explanation of science. We are only made to understand some science what other people wants us to understand. Science by itself should not be feared. Unfortunately, people exist and some people use science for their own good... Science may have set us free...only to be imprisoned by the illusion set by people who knew science more than you and me.

People dictating science are the ones to be feared not Science.

This is true mostly to those who nod their head to anything that's spoken in quite a complicated tongue. Perhaps higher intellect has been a basic proof of knowledge to someone who claims that his scientific explanations be credible.

This is true. But precisely because of this, people readily believe what will be presented to them as exact science. It's a double edge sword. One, you can understand the physical world. Two, you can as well be illusioned by "scientific people."

i agree with you guys(rodion), for me, just live our life using all our emotions, senses, understanding in things and knowledge to live life to the fullest...

science has no connection to truth, it just has a better way of looking at things compared to old methods of evaluation.

Many scientific innovations in the past were made by people active in their views regarding faith. I don't see any hindrance of having an open mind both in science and religion. It's only recent times when were too caught up on labeling ourselves and pointing fingers. We are all born curious of life we see and life we don't see. Fear has kept us alive its indifference that divides us and it'll kill us.
