Default Mt. Kalatungan 3 peaks-3 days

-from the hidden beauty of the rain forest & mountain, this is my newbie share...

    Location: Mt. Kalatungan, Bukidnon

Mt. Kalatungan peak rank as 6th of the highest point in the Philippine archipelago. This route includes three peaks that towered above 2800+ meters above sea level namely the Pala-pala, Kalatungan & Lampanag aka Wiji's peak. Those mentioned measured our determination in finishing the entire climb route. Pinay Mt. Everest summiter Ms. Carina Dayondon considered the Mt. Kalatungan as one of the most difficult mountain to summit & until now, the classification remain as 9/9 difficulty in Pinoymountaineer.com.
Based on the itinerary, it's a 3 peaks climb including the Lampanag traverse (aka Wiji or Macaupao peak), utilizing the newly established trail in Portulin via Hangaron Ridge as the entry point. The first day was considered as shortage of "daylight" for trekking because most of the climbers arrived at the camp 1 (Sangaya sa O'otah) on dark hour already or 6:00 PM due to a very long trail. As far as we can remember the last day trail which assaulted the 2600+ meters peak above sea level better known as "dung-awan" en route to Awang ridge was not included as the fourth peak.

mantayupan falls is the highest(321,518 ft.), i believe, waterfall in cebu. it is located in the heart of problacion in barili cebu, so as very near with their municipal hall. drive is about 2 hours only from cebu city and a short distance walk to the foot of the falls from their parking area. some people prefer mantayupan falls due to its more preserved atmosphere compared to kawasan's in badian. if you want to cool down in this heatstroke-prone summer, mantayupan falls is an ideal place to go.

THEUSED Simple ra kaayo ang instructions sa first page ani nga thread, I ask that you read it, and comply. Let's keep this thread interesting, not a place to dump photos on.

I am starting this thread because its summertime and most of you might be considering places to visit and maybe I can help with this simple thread. I hope that you also share about some very interesting secluded places that is very much worth visiting.

Kindly make a simple write-up about your travel details so that I can also learn from you if ever I intend to visit the place. I learn alot of things from alot of photographers, I will credit them as I go along

    Again..........
PLEASE, the AIM of this thread is to showcase the beauty of our country, encourage and somehow help local tourists and istoryans alike to travel and visit the Philippines. PLEASE, refrain from posting photos without any write-up or link or even single photos unless very much needed. I hope you do understand. There are many threads that will let you showcase your talent in photography so post it there.
