@ cmontoya ....yah the 5th pic i lyk it also...cge ra jud ko expirement ana nga tym .....and sir cmontoya i agree with you about street photog @ night kay lisud pa lighting risk pd imong self sa mga criminal!..actually when i took those pictures ako ra usa sa mango ave going to gorordo (sinulog eve '10)..and ang feeling nga expose imong cam au kay lisud especially when i took the 5th photo kay dghan hubog sa luyo nako ana dapit pa jud high risk area matod sa fuente police...paghuman nakog pics mu dirtso pa ta ko sa gorordo ave when i realized nanay ga sunod 4 ka laki nako..so na ahat kog sakay ug taxi.hehe..wa nalng ko nakapadayun sa akong shot2x..

im still new to photography so i read alot on this thread even kato wa pakoy camera...sir ganahan kos point of view nimo about street photo..lyk depicting messages on the picture...sana mo sikat pd ning genre dri .....

about the second pic with the foreigners and girls...actually those foreigners were customers.hehe..u know what i mean. third photo yap the guy was very wasted (i mean wasted)...Salamat sa mga comments nimo sir cmontoya

im planning to do another street photog at the red light district of cebu ( junquera sanciangko junction)...this time i will bring friends...mag research sa ko before i go there para di ma unxa ..hhehhe..kung pede unta maka sud kos mga bar sa downtown .hehe.maybe ur interested?pero dugay pani cuz i still need to look for an insider..

@lithardcore: You are certainly braver than I. I don’t go out at night to shoot the streets without company. My personal experience with street photography is observe first, shoot later.

Ha ha, I also had plans to go to the Red Light District of Cebu but thought I’d rather not risk it with a DSLR. It’s better if you have a rangefinder or a point and shoot like the Lumix LX3 or Canon S90 (they have a wide aperture of F2 so low light is no problem). A DSLR tends to attract unwanted attention.

Lastly, if you do post photos of er, the workers, please blur their faces. Some of them don’t want their relatives to know what they do for a living.

I might go on another photowalk soon. I’m just waiting for my Helios 44-2 55mm F2 lens. Na-addict ko manual focus lens run kay challenging Saving up pa for my dream lens - Canon 135mm F2 L USM.
