Inter-BPO basketball kicks off

CEBU, Philippines - It’s all systems go for the 6th Season Inter-BPO Basketball Tournament 2010, which opens at 1:30 pm today at the City Sports Club basketball courts.
Exciting opening matches will feature Qualfon against Wipro at 2:30 pm followed by the clash between Western Wats and newcomer, Accenture.
Defending champion, Convergys’ will try to regain the title this season.
The list of participating teams includes Teletech, Calltek, Aegis People Support, Eperformax, Lexmark, Cebu Global Tele Service (formerly Etelecare) and Vector BPO.
New squads, Accenture and Vector BPO, replaced ICT and 1&1 Internet, which did not confirm their participation.

CEBU, Philippines - Teletech Titans pummeled Eperformax, 63-41, to open their title campaign on a bright note
in the 6th Inter-BPO Basketball Tournament 2010 at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym.
Laurenz Sultan and Erwin Abellanosa spearheaded Teletech’s victory with 13 and 12 points, respectively, while James Ryan Blanes and Lourenz Limpangog added 11 markers apiece.
In the other match, Aegis People Support thrashed Cebu Global Teleservices (formerly e-telecare), 59-43.
Jomie Mendez powered Aegis People Support with 18 points followed by Mark Anthony Rabuya with 10. Michael Adam Pagdalian led Cebu Global Teleservices with a game-high tying18 markers.
