I graduated IT from ACT. I will not say its a good or great School for IT. When I graduated I immediately got work as Programmer and consultant to various SME.
I did Teach IT to an international School then eventually Ventured to Public Service. I become the Provincial IT officer and Provincial Information Officer at the same time. I had offers to work to germany and other European Countries But i chose to work here. Im not into Public service anymore though.
Point is, I think its not the school. Its not the Teachers. Its you. IT is a course where The student can be more Knowlegdeable than the Teacher. You could be Lightyears away from what your teacher knows. When you start to work What school u came from is a matter of Knowing what to say to HR people and get the Job. I got discriminated cause I was from an Institute, But when i open my mouth The Australian IT guy literally beg me to work for them. Its as simple as that. Hope that helps.
