The title of the thread is misleading . Its not only ILLEGAL in the Philippines but anywhere else in the world . You guys are probably referring to LEGAL MEDICAL MARIJUANA .

Ang uban is sakay na lang sa uso ilabi na mga RASTA RASTA , ni IDOLIZED ni BOB MARLEY and the rest of the REGGAE COMMUNITY dili man mo apil ana because that is a RELIGION and the RASTAFARIANS consider it as holy and sacred when in fact , talking about influence of the PRESS . Testingi ninyo adto sa Jamaica and Amsterdam and light a dope in public ... aron makita ang katag ba . These are the very places people are very misguided na LEGAL kuno didto kay tungod daghan mo gamit ( yes daghan mo gamit ) but it doesnt justify na legal siya .

Too bad for you if it comes out someday, the majority of Filipinos will support the legalization of marijuana. Just like in the Bible, Jesus was crucified because the Jews wants him to and Pontius Pilate grant their wishes because that's what the majority of Israeli citizens wants. If Filipinos wants to legalize it, the government has nothing to do against it but to grant their wishes. We just don't have enough people including politicians to have the guts to put this topic at the congress. But our country is still coping from the Marcos regime, so there's no point of putting this topic at the congress for now.

Ok, countries like Amsterdam, Canada, etc., tolerate their people of using marijuana. Are you going to say that they are EVIL? Do you think they're representing a bad influence to other countries across the globe?

What about Mexico? PROSTITUTION is legal there. What's your comment about that?

You're just an ignorant brown man. In this godforsaken country, all of us don't know why our government illegalized marijuana. I don't think they conducted a research before they officially illegalized it. I don't think they know that drinking alcohol is more dangerous than marijuana. The reason they illegalized it is because anyone can grow marijuana and they can't control of the prices. In other words, the government can't make money off of it. But for the alcohol and tobacco, the government can control the prices on both products.

I did NOT say anything from my previous posts that I support the legalization of marijuana. Honestly, I don't like it. The prices will go up and I'm afraid that the Bureau of Food and Drugs might put something in the marijuana that would make us less "high".

I smoke marijuana occasionally. I don't drink beer cuz' I don't like the taste especially San Mig. When I say occasionally, that's far for being a "drug" abuser. Of course, I don't smoke marijuana when my exams are coming up and etc. Wake up man. Do you drink beer when your exams are coming up? Oh wait, you didn't go to college. Sa TESDA man diay ka ga college! Haha

If some people abuse it, I don't care. It's not my business. Not yours too.

In conclusion, ignorante ka!! Balik sa inyong baryo oy! Syudad-syudad, ignorante diay. "general masses" kuno. Saba oy! Aron ingnon bright pud ka dah!

The way I see it ... its ok if ma LEGALIZED siya when all the users are the same with the very forumers here who claims to be GOOD and RESPONSIBLE PEOPLE na dili maka affect sa ilahang sorroundings , families and careers ang pag use sa herb since they dont abuse it ... the problem is , dili man tanan tao pareho ninyo as what you guys and gals claim na mga tarong mo when under the influence of downers .

This is for anti-marijuana people to give them information about the plant, because they probably never tried it before:

First of all, I could say marijuana is a natural plant. Then all of you haters would say, "not everything made in nature is good for you" Ok?!?! Then I would say "is marijuana so harmful that it would kill you?" Then you couldn't say anything.

Second, think about the business. Do you know how much money you could earn if you sell this stuff. You don't have to work at a call center ever again. Just run a sari-sari store business and sit there all day and sell marijuana at the same time. That would be so awesome!! Imagine if our government legalized marijuana. Do you know that we'd never have to worry about financial situations and economic problems ever again because they'd be so many people buying and selling it -- Supply and Demand.

Third, it's safe to use it. More people are addicted to alcohol and cigarettes than marijuana. Don't start giving me lectures because cigarettes and alcohol could kill you as same as marijuana and accusing me of generalizing. In fact, marijuana won't kill you. Marijuana is portrayed to be the most dangerous and evil plant ever existed, yet there never been any cases people getting killed from smoking.

Fourth, it makes you relax (marijuana is a good substitute for yoga). Imagine if you're with your girl, how much better would you feel with her being relaxed?!

Fifth, its great for anorexics. People who are very thin and wants to build up some muscles desperately, this is for them. Give them marijuana and they'll end up eating lots of foods make sure you know how to cook.

Anyways, this might be sound revolutionary, scientific evidence overwhelmingly indicates that cannabis is substantially less harmful than alcohol and should be treated not as a criminal issue but as a social and public health issue.

    ^^^

Why would you GENERALIZE again by using the word HATERS ?

Since when is MARIJUANA safe to use ? It is safe in terms of MEDICATION but for leisure purposes and the sole reason of just getting high .... have you been very HIGH of DOPE ? Hope your answer is YES .

The problem with your analogy and explanation is , it is only applicable to a few people . Comparing it to CIGARETTES and ALCOHOL would be a different story but then REGULATION is in effect unless in some cases and scenarios here in the Philippines na wala ma implement .

True that is ... CIGARETTE and ALCOHOL are very addictive and can cause harm pod but that is beside the point . Ma public or private sector man gani ang ga regulate sa MARIJUANA , wala na tay labot ana but what we can do is educate people that still , MARIJUANA indeed is also ADDICTIVE , considered as ILLICIT and impairs the ability of the person to function sanely and normally .
