lol...tinood or dili canon japon ko, pra ilang nikon akong canon, ilang sudan akong canon japon... hahahahaha bitaw as what i've heard sikat daw sa US ang Nikon, and sa Asian ang Canon...ambot lang sa Europe...

The problem with Canon is not by reason of technological lapses which is also common with Nikon. Canon has a problem with customer care in terms of endurance and loyalty. Old Nikkor lenses are still usable with Nikon DSLRs which is not doable with Canon FD lenses with the current Canon DLSRs. Ergo, Canon drops loyal friends along the way.

To compliment a long, loyal friend, just say to him or her, "You're a true Nikon."

nice observation...yea canon simply misses this feature not like Nikon and Pentax where in their old age lenses is still up and roaring until this era, many previous film photographers are simply bind with their previous gear mostly the lenses simply because budget wise they still can use those lenses in today's digital age...IMHO when their is smoke their would be fire...I'm just still crossing my fingers though for Canon is a good brand...if given this is true long term effect would be the lenses for canon in the future...our gears now will be for sure obsolete for the next 2 years perhaps...but why affect if we are happy with our acquired gears in terms of output regardless of brand...
