Honor grad...naa bay advantage?!?

a definite ADVANTAGE no doubt.. in the first place, nano na honor man daw ka? use that as ur motivation to do well in ure work.. in a resume, one should include that, applying for a job is like a competition, but the only basis for the company for hiring would be ure achievements etc. la pa man sila kakita ninyo na nagwork so dli pa nila mahibaluan kng unsa ba jud mo.. but knowing na honor student ka, then naa silay assurance na ull do well on ure job...

ug daghan naga.ingon .. dali lng man mahonor ui... then kng i.ask nimu nano la man ka na.honor? ang tubag: "kapoy ui, dli ko nerd, duh kalas sa panahon, kaya kaayo nako na kng maningkamot ko..."
- dumb answer... an honor student gains his honor not just because of his brains... grabeng paningkamot singot ug dugo pa... hehe bitaw, the fact na nahonor ka, meaning naningkamot ka.. ug dli lng kana... positive ang outcome sa imong paningkamot... so y wud u be afraid for further responsibilities...u already have proven urself once... doing it again won't hurt.. ang dapat mahadlok ang walay honor.. nah.. kalisod na mangitag trabaho.. hehe..

@TS: maybe you don't feel it now coz wla pa ka nangapply for a job.. but soon you'll see nga mas dali ka dawaton kaysa uban (basing on credentials, not on backer2x system).. having graduated with honors means you are diligent, and work diligence is something companies look for in their employees..

as for the board exam, you can't really blame them for looking up to you kay you managed to graduate baya with honors.. meaning you put your effort into your studies, and fortunately also, it paid off.. you have good study habits plus a good brain.. that's not a combination everyone has.. don't let it get to your head lang.. and don't let the pressure get to you.. whatever they say, ipalapos lng sa dunggan.. just focus on doing your best..

remember also that the board exam is just one exam.. the grades you've garnered over your 4 years of education speak loud enough about your work attitude..

salamat sa inyo mga advises mga istoryans...grabe na jud ang pressure nga ko na feel ai...as in...sa kong family,relatives,faculty,friends,classmates and even sa mga silingan,..restricted na sad keu akong behavior kay lagi magna cum laude ko...dili biya ako ang nerdy type...kiat biya ko bugoy2x kunuhay...typical nga engineering student...pero karun murag high na keu ang tan-aw sa mga taw nako...so it seems that i feel i should maintain this certain level of morality because of my achievement in academics...hay nako wa pa gani nagsugod ang review...tsk3x

but the way u carry urself inig interview kay importante pud..

1. Kung mo graduate ka with honors sa college, automatic civil service eligible.
File lang ka ug papers then tagaan dayon ka certificate.
Wala ta kahibaw sa kapalaran kung maka trabaho ka sa gov't.

2. One of the best way to impress your prospective employer is through good grades.
Aron naa proof kung moingon ka nga maayo ka ani nga area.

3. Makes your family proud. (friends, teacher, etc.)
-Ang ako school sa high school kay magbutang cla ug banner kung naa former student na mo graduate with honors. Pag graduate nko kay mao to nabutang ako name sa banner. Naagi cla ako parents nya naa cla kuyug mga kaila. Ana dayon ang isa ka kuyug nila ni ask kinsa daw to ang pareha ug lastname sa ako papa. Ana ako papa nga pareha mi ug apelyido ana kay ako na anak. Grabe kaau ang smile sa ako mama ug papa.

4. Dili ka magmahay nga nagtinarong ka ug na honor.
Naa daghan dha nga maayo kaau permi nadaut sa barkada ug bisyo.
Mo look back sa time nga nag eskwela nya magmahay.
Ikaw mo look back nga proud sa imo gibuhat.

Niagi man pud ko anang binugoy pero make sure nko dli madala sulod sa klase.

seriously, naa ko friend nga magna cum laude grad but wa sya ning top sa board ug kato nuon iyang classmate nga average student, naka top 5 nuon.. uwaw sa part sa akong amigo..hehe

when my mom's officemates heard about the news that i graduated as MCL, they looked down on me and asked ngano HRM kuno akong gipili nga course nga wa man daw na board exam ug nganong sa callcenter ko nagtrabaho.. i just smiled at them.. dah kever nila ui!, di man sila ang nagpa skwela nako, di sad sila ang nagpakaon nako... ug happy man sad ko sa akong life kron kay ako naman ang naga support financially sa akong pamilya

but you know what, as long as you know deep within yourself that you did your best bsan pa man wa ka ning top, naa ghapon ang feeling of fulfillment and satisfaction because you know deep within yourself that you played the game fairly and and you faced the challenge squarely

ana cla nindot jud kuno nga mahonor ka....but it seems nga wala jud na nako mafeel..disadvantage noon nga honor kay everybody is expecting me to excel...especially sa board exam...everyone is somehow expecting me to top...lisud naman gani ipasar top na hinuon...hay nako

of course it will always be an advantage. but you have to keep on working hard to prove yourself especially at work. it's like a double-edged sword.

just please enjoy the title but always, always, always keep on learning.
