for me yes, naa jud advantage ang honor grad - you will have many job offers. Being an honor is a sign that you are an achiever and people that hires you will always think that you will excel in almost anything because you have achieve most of your different subjects.

naa man sad especially sa High School
or Elementary honor ka unya ikaw pa dyud
Valedictorian naa kay special award na madawat.
like sa amo school na high school if valedictorian
ka naa kay discount mostly sa mga sikat na universities
    like Ateneo de Manila.

And if college grad ka w/ honors super nindot kay
dili ka maglisod pangita ug trabaho kay inig tan-aw
palang sa imong resume wow honor student.

yea right, advantage nga disadvantage ang mu graduate as an honor student..

like me, i graduated as MCL sa usa sa mga sikat nga universities dri sa pilipinas, HRM grad ko ug kron nag work ko sa callcenter.. everybody is questioning me nganong sa callcenter ko ningtugpa ug di sa mga 5-star hotels or fine dining restaurants sa atong nasud ug ngano daw wa ko nag abroad or nag cruise ship or kaya nag teacher sa university.. kapoy explain, kapoy sad tagad anang mga judmental nga mga tawo.. ever since i was born ilang gusto pirmi nakong sundon.. and now that i am earning on my own, i am living on my own, i wanna make a life on my own.. karon pa sad ko naka feel ug total freedom pero happy man ghapon ko sa tanang achievements nga akong nakab-ot, kaluoy sa Ginoo..

for you TS, just be optimistic girl.. remain positive and don't let other people's expectations distract you since that will only frustrate you.. follow what your heart beats for, be happy in everything that you do and always remember that in this life we live, you got just one audience, aim for the applause of the One who can give you greater honor ahead

Good grades will probably help you qualify for merit-based scholarships in the masteral and doctoral levels... BUT...

Jobs-wise, people will either expect too much of you or those in position might see you as a threat. If I were you, I will omit that part from my resume, and let my work and attitude speak for themselves.

Unless you're running for public office and eying a career where you need to flaunt your medals, keep a low profile.
