Mavs' Marion questionable vs. Blazers

BEAVERTON, Ore. -- Shawn Marion participated in light practice Thursday afternoon, but his status for Friday night's game in Portland remains uncertain.

Marion won't rush back after straining his left oblique in Saturday night's loss to Oklahoma City. He wants to play as soon as possible, but he won't risk his health for the playoffs.

He'll go through shootaround Friday morning and get treatment throughout the day before making a decision about whether he'll play against the Trail Blazers.

"The good thing about it is that it's not hurting worse than what it was," Marion said. "I still feel pain when I'm jogging and stuff, but it's not increasing."
