Sorry kaayo bro/sis if na offend ka. It was certainly not my intention to offend. It was just to share what I know, which several people in this forum already agreed to. I joined istorya last year, but posted only recently so that I could share. I believe you only joined istorya just to reply to my post.
If you feel you are more informed than me, please, do share what you know. Like, drop figures. Make a comparison sheet of basic pays, night differentials, compensation and such. It would certainly be more helpful than attacking somebody trying to help others know.
I would like to answer your last question.
Most manufacturing companies would accept high school graduates as entry level then again there are a lot of college graduates who works entry level in the manufacturing industry. most bpo's now reduced their requirement to college level for entry level positions especially if applicants already have prior bpo experience.
I am not saying that manufacturing pays better than BPOs in the entry level position BUT without BPOs, the number of unemployed 'highly educated' individuals would greatly be higher than what it is now. Where then would they go? Its either to work abroad which is just as hard as before or go work in manufacturing industries. Certainly, appreciation for the manufacturing industry would be better if that were the case.
Yes, I think our skills are comparable. Entry level workers on both industries, regardless of their educational background, needs to undergo training before they can do the job. There is nothing that we know in the BPO, that, as you call them, a factory worker wouldn't know should they choose to switch industries. Vice versa, it wouldn't be hard for someone in the BPO to operate a machine or assemble a product.

If you never heard of anybody contemplating of going back to Sykes after leaving, please feel free to call HR and ask for the names of those people who are now back in Sykes.
For example, a team lead in a sister account left the company. Came back as an agent in his original account and was promoted again to a team lead position.
Also, I personally do know a lot of people who would like to go back to Sykes but they can not because they had disciplinary actions especially on behavioral issues during their tenure in Sykes. Only those who resigned properly and do not have disciplinary actions can go back to Sykes.

the end point - its all about attitude.
and it is certainly not a good attitude in forums to write in CAPS LOCK because it is perceived as 'shouting'. If it is not too hard for you to do, may I request you to write your future posts properly.
Thank you and I sincerely hope you are doing well in your current company.
