for my opinion i guess agents are paid that way since that is the standard rate for that job....and well
for other jobs like as developer dont get that big pay since that is the rate here in phil... well is true that speaking englsh and staying late working is hard but i guess there are more harder jobs..devs dont take days or months to learn but yrs ..

This is istorya.net, yes it is.... you have your opinions, yes you have... nobody is questioning it. But just to remind you..... we have rules and regulations to follow.. read the rules fella' before you rant. and please make your responses sensible enough if you want to start flames on the thread with your discriminating post..

    Just a reminder, Istorya.Net rule No. 2

where was your respect when you said "trying hard to fit in" or worse "social climber" against call center workers? now speak....

pinoys talking english to fellow pinoys maybe is intimidating for you but bear mind, this is not limited to call center agents only. It pinches our pride when we see people do something that we cant even if it looks so simple. it's not even surprising when people complain about their paychecks... again for the record.. don't blame it on other people for your failures/incapacity, it is you who can make your life miserable or the other way around.

it takes pride and guts to practice and speak the English language even if it sounds nasty enough to get criticized.

now that manny pacquiao speaks more of english than tagalog or even bisaya (if ever he knows it), does that mean he is Trying to Hard To Fit In too?
and say with Erap who for once sounded like he only knew tagalog, look at him now... he's starting to speak english more often... does that qualify him too considering he is making his speech to all FILIPINOS?
or how about you as the best example right now who is posting your thoughts in ENGLISH, does that qualify you to be "Social Climber" or "Trying Hard to Fit in"? pinoy mn sd ko...

your post is your post... your opinions are all yours to speak.. but it doesnt mean that you can just step on people's practices and culture especially if it's something that is helping them achieve success on their careers. if ever you have more of your opinions as discriminating as those you had posted, make them sensible and credible at least.

paps thanks for the response, but I think my mistake was ending my post too short...
I am not against CCA or what not people trying to speak in English or Tagalog to learn more, I think you know what I mean about "trying hard to fit in" or "social climber",when I referred to my first post "if you see these CC agents sitting in a coffee shop talking english to fellow Pinoy"

I replied with this post assuming that YOU sir have understood the topic when I mentioned "trying hard to fit in" or "social climber", "if you see these CC agents sitting in a coffee shop talking english to fellow Pinoy"

If you are still not clarified by what I meant about "trying hard to fit in" or "social climber if you see these CC agents sitting in a coffee shop talking english to fellow Pinoy"", please feel free to reply to this message or pm me to explain so I can elaborate to you more on what I meant when I posted it..

Please be open minded when I mention "trying hard to fit in" or "social climber if you see these CC agents sitting in a coffee shop talking english to fellow Pinoy"

I think I have posted the quote 4-5 times already for you to not notice..

TRY TO BE OPEN MINDED PAPA and you will know what I mean

For me mas dako ang Callcenter agents kay mas prone sila sa mga sakit. Mas delikado magwork kung night shift. Mas daghan benefits since they're bosses are based outside the country.

simple answer: our salaries comes from CLIENTS in other countries nga mas taas ug value ang ilang money compare sa atong peso.. whereas and mga police, teachers, engineers and other professions nga naa lang sa pilipinas are getting salaries from the government or private companies nga gabase ra sa peso.. come to think of it.. why daghan kaau ganahan nga pinoy mo work abroad??

we all have our choice.. is it out fault nga mas dako mi ug sweldo kaysa uban? and i think the salaries that were getting is just right cause nothing can compensate to stress, gastritis, anxiety ug uban pa.. working at weird hours and having crazy schedules can cause problems and can get u sick..

and finally you responded... never noticed till i dig in further on the pages...
yeah you are not against CCAs.. i can read and understand part of your posts your highness.

unto "that" part... yes you have posted it 4-5 times already (and counting) yet you don't seem to realize what i am actually trying to say here.... binisay-on nko ug storya sir ha?

dili tanan taw pareha nimo ug pang huna2x kung para nimo POSITIVE n nga quote, sa uban dili.. and take note sa imong gi butang.... "CC agents...". so please make some little considerations on your choice of words or shall i say "terms".

why not post your thoughts here instead... or perhaps start a thread about this and let's start a healthy conversation about it. i would love to take part on it.. ^_^

going back to the original topic, basically cc agents are hired by multinational companies, who can afford to pay higher rates, compared to the other professions mentioned above na hired by our government na walang budget, un lang un..

    peace =)
