What makes this game so interesting is the coop mode, which is the prequel and in connection to Sam's mission.
Splinter Cell: Conviction gets an 8/10 score from Edge Magazine
Edge has awarded Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Conviction 8/10 in its latest lead review - claiming that the title is 'in reach of greatness'.
The mag is particularly impressed with protagonist Sam Fisher's ability to turn environments into 'torture chambers' at the press of a button.
'[Even] the presence of a piano suddenly fills the room with ominous potential' it reports.
It adds: 'The environments, at their best, are playgrounds for Fisher's lethal abilities, giving him every opportunity to outflank and outwit opponents who otherwise outgun him.'
It calls one particular chase around the Lincoln Memorial Ground 'heart-pumping', and praises the new, less-stealthy style of play. 'As Splinter Cell goes from covert to overt, a new-found dynamism emerges,' Edge reports.
However, the mag finds flaws in the games 'short' single-player campaign - and says that too much of the title is played in new atmospheric monocrome.
'But when Conviction hits its stride, the environments unlock the player's tactical ambitions in a way that's truly empowering,' it adds.
Splinter Cell Conviction is released next Friday in the UK.

Edge is the same magazine that gave Final Fantasy XIII a 5/10 score (which made Japanophiles, FF fanatics and otakus cry literally), which I agree with.
Splinter Cell: Conviction reviewed by IGN!
Sam Fisher is back, and he is not in a good mood. Of all the smart decisions made in crafting a new Splinter Cell title, this might be the best one developer Ubisoft Montreal made. Sam's angry and you hear it in every grunted line of dialogue, can see it in the brutal takedowns and interrogation moves and feel it pulsating through Sam with every step. That anger, that aggressiveness is built not only into the story but the gameplay changes as well. It was a huge risk deviating from the trial-and-error style that made the series famous, but it paid off. Splinter Cell Conviction is awesome.

A 9.3/10 for SC: Conviction from IGN.
I find this game interesting but the shortness of the single player campaign concerns me and made me reluctant about purchasing it. Still, IGN stated that the game is worth repeating.
Ok raman ang game pero I hate basta naa nay enemy mu black and white its just annoying...

After years of waiting, gamers finally have their hands on the latest Sam Fisher adventure; Splinter Cell: Conviction. However, reports are starting to trickle in about a glitch in the game that is causing 360s to freeze up a short ten minutes into the game. Apparently the issue rears its ugly head when reaching the first weapons cache in the mansion area, at which point the game will completely freeze, forcing players to reboot their systems.
While it's not clear exactly what is going on, the ranks of people experiencing this issue are growing with the passage of time. Our own HeyKidNiceRobot experienced the problem last night, while Coop had a freezing issue of his own, although at a different point in the game. Some have speculated that avoiding the mandatory update that is offered when the game loads might be a work-around, but others are claiming that the game will freeze regardless of whether or not the update is applied. It's also worth noting that not applying the update will prevent you from playing online.
On the official Xbox Forums, user Eyesadrift3 has offered a possible solution:
Go to systems memory press y and clear system cache, start the game don't do the update, and select the level you were on, DO NOT LOAD YOUR GAME, this should work, it just did for me.
While this is clearly in no way what Ubisoft had hoped for the release of one of its tent-pole games, hopefully it won't take the company too long to arrange a fix. We've contacted Ubisoft about the issue, and will let you know what response, if any, we receive.
