    Default Win2kserver to Win2kserver

mga bro...i need some help, how to transfer my user account from win2kserver domain (old server) to my new win2kserver domain (new server)...right now im planning to install a new win2kserver domain and transfer my existing user account from old server coz i need to format my old server.

what should i do first before i install the new win2kserver domain? do the new win2k domain be a member of existing domain (old server)? pls give me details in step by step procedures., i saw this before transferring user account to another server pero medyo wla pako ka gets sa setup kay OJT pako ato..

here is my domain name of my old server: SERVER.CEBU.COM (cebu is the domain)
is it possible also if i name my new server to SERVER.CEBU.COM ? gusto langko as is lang ang name sa server or do i need to change gyod ang name sa new server para dli cla mo conflict sa old server name...need some advice mga bro..

then assuming kong ma transfer na nako tanan ang user account from old server to new server, maka login ba ang workstation using their old account name with the same password like sa setup before? basin ang username ra ang ma transfer then dli maapil ilang password, so dako nasadko ug trabahoon kay mo create nasadko ug temporary password pa nla.

help mga bro....maghulat langko sa iyong feedback before ko mag setup ug new server domain.

Well, if you join them both to a domain and set both as a primary domain controller, as in using Active Directory and all that - the replication will be automatic.

and btw, active directory migration tool. look for it on ms' site.

Just join the NEW SERVER to your OLD DOMAIN SERVER and do a DCPROMO on your your NEW SERVER. And choose "Additional domain controller for an existing domain" and click next. Be sure you are logging in from the NEW SERVER when you do this. And also double check first before u proceed that the NEW SERVER are able to connect from the OLD DOMAIN SERVER correctly. If all settings are correct the replication process run smoothly...( First thing first do a back-up )

Be careful with the term "primary domain controller" as well as "backup domain controler", In the active directory, these terms doesn't exist. It's only in the Pre-Windows 2000 Server domain.
