for BANTAYAN its really their fiesta and i think its was already "blessed" or whatever u call that thing when VATICAN allowed them to celebrate their fiesta.. and for the meat thing its really up to a person on what he or she will sacrifice.. for party.. its depends on the person as well since they have the freedom to do whatever they want since we all have different religion.. for me and i am Catholic.. i do celebrate Holy Week but i know some people who goes partying or they will have a vacation and they're even Catholic and i guest its just their practice..

People have changed and people are different in a lot of ways. Its the nature of things...

Religion is there to guide us, the sacrament reminds us, but ultimately the individual lives his life. To topic starter, I agree with spending holy week holy... it is an understanding, a form of respect what Christ has sacrificed for us. But I would think he would want people to choose as well. Like some I chose spending it with family that I see once a year.
