    Thanks for your inputs. I hope I can show this thread to my wife and convince her that both Iligan and Gen San are safe. Is it okay to bring a DSLR camera and shoot (meaning take pictures not pull a trigger) some local scenery and lifestyles? Dili common ang snatching?

    i understand..pro ako n gkan sa mindanao and have been to both places, mkaingon ko n safe r cla 2..

    unsa mani sila oi.. ka hot man.. ingon rako nga lahi ra ang gensan sa iligan, for example maguindanaon ang muslim sa gensan ug maranao sa iligan, menus kaau ang taxi sa gensan compared to iligan. wa man ko gamention na kahaglokan ang gensan. mas taas gamay ug level of security imo mabati sa iligan compared sa gensan. i lived traveling in different parts sa mindanao mostly kana mga gikahaglokan sa uban so mka compare gyud ko asa ang mas nindot... my next stop dis april would be gensan, calumpang to be exact. mayta dali rako kay para mka bakasyon kadali hehehe

    bitaw, try sa park nila infront sa cityhall sa gensan. nice mg picture2x labi na hapon daghan mga studyante mag suroy2x. weird lng mga bro kay ang mga uniform sa college nila kay "below" the knee gyud ang sa mga babae, except sa STI kana ragyud na school hehehe.

    diay dnt expect skimpy shorts mga sul-ob mga babae kay di medyo liberated ug huna2x ang mga tao dira. compared diri cebu nga bali wala ra nato.

    both places are safe. I have friends who are from there. Dili man tanan muslims bad. Respect for their culture and belief is a must jud. as long as dili ka abusado dli ra man sad ka hilabtan.Besides you can't escape death. bisan pag diri ra ka sa cebu if its ur time, its ur time.
