    Default Linksys WRT54GH :: how to secure/limit/configure allowed users

    awwwws, sorry kaau bro..

    ganahan ta me na ang mka connect sa wifi ky ang PCs/laptops lng sa haus.. murag naay password ba b4 ka mka connect sa net... ky my purpose is dghan mn gud laptops sa sa gawas sa haus/sa silingan.. so, we want our home network to be secured...

    to include, naa ni cd(network magic) to secure the network ang router pgpalit nmo but trial version dw ni..

    try to access your router by typing 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.2.1 in your browser. from there you can secure your wifi by selecting either WEP or WPA security. Hope this helps!

    @swordfish:: its asking for username and password...

    "A username and password are being requested by http://192.168.1.1. The site says: "WRT120N""

    since you have linksys router, you will find the username and password on the router itself. usually naa na sa ilawon sa router.

    wala mn diri username and pw bro... all i have/can see is SN and MC #'s... sorry..

    the best way to limit the allowed users is to register the MAC Address of your PC/LAPTOP OR ANY GADGET you want to connect to your wireless router.

    That way, even if you don't have a password for your WIFI as long as, the MAC ADDRESS of your allowed computers is registered then you're good to go.
