    Iwahig Penal Colony, Puerto Princesa

The Iwahig Penal Colony is dubbed as the prison without walls, cells that have keys, inmates guarding inmates. Most of the hardened criminals are sent here for serious rehabilitation to make them productive enough once they are done with their sentence. There are three kinds of inmates around here. The Orange for the maximun security, the Blue for the medium security, and the Brown as the minimum security. Lucky for me coz I get to have the Blue shirt. I get to talk to the inmates and they are very decent enough and respectable. They do tell me about how hard their life were but somehow they managed. I get to talked to Amer who happens to be a Cebuano and a few months after my visit is out. If you want to visit the penal colony do visit them early in the morning so you can see the inmates attending to their farmlands. Dont forget to bring in some cigarettes as a simple goodwill gesture from your behalf and mid you, they will give you souvenirs in return which are carved/crafted from the well-known Philippine mahogany or KAMAGONG. Mang Gener (the tricycle driver) was my ride going around Iwahig.

    Mount Tapyas, Coron, Palawan

You can never miss the famed Mount Tapyas in Coron. It is over-looking the town and the bay. If you want to see the view of Coron it is much advised that you go up on this hill. But take note, Mount Tapyas is no walk in the park. I climb Mount Tapyas as early as 5am in order to catch the sunrise. They claimed that Mount Tapyas is about 700+ well-cemented steps which I wasnt able to confirm because I was more counting on the number of times I rested, hehehe. It is really a challenge to climb Tapyas but nevertheless, upon reaching the top, the aching legs will be soothed by the wonderful view Tapyas could render. Lastly, bring water if you climb Tapyas, dont be a fool like me that I brought my mega-heavy backpack filled with all my lenses and a tripod, without water.

Waited for few days..... couple of weeks, still no sign of southwest wind to tame of its might. Since time no longer on our side, we finally called off our Quatro Islas trip and changed our course to down south. As per our consaguintiy recommendation.

This small gem known as Tangkaan Beach (Padre Burgos So. Leyte), don't come with a typical passage rather a cliff elevated by ~100ft await each visitor and a concrete stairs aid us to descend. I was astounded what a 5 pesos entrance fee can offer plus addtional 5 pesos for shower

    Tangka-an Beach

    On our west Limasawa Island

On our south Pana-on Island aka Mordor

oh!!!!!!!!! pls. this is a stone formation
