The Agas-agas is currently the country's highest bridge. It is around 30 stories high or 90 meters from the ground. Bungee?? Yes, bungee platforms were actually constructed on the sides for those who are brave enough to try![]()
They have also constructed some amenities like canteens and restrooms. There's also an admin office where you get your permits for things like bungee or zipline rappelling.
The grass part in this area almost fooled me. I thought I was going to step on solid ground!
The bridge viewed from the old road used to travel this area before the bridge was constructed. Due to the very loose soil, landslides frequently happen and this road had to be closed. The bridge was constructed so this road can be permanently closed and accidents prevented.
Not really recommended... you must have a buddy watch your back so you won't get run over by passing vehicles.
The bottom of the bridge is actually accessible. You may either walk, or bring your car along. Just make sure your car has enough power to make it back! We preferred to walk down to enjoy the scenery better. In pic: My wife, my bro and my dad. Louya sa photographer walay apil permi.
I'm having a hard time making the bridge look big in the photos. The bridge don't actually look massive compared to when you go below say example, marcelo fernan bridge. Well, that is until you get nearer and your eyes begin to adjust. Then you realize, those black dots you saw when you were above, were actually people. I stayed back and waited until I can use the rest of the members of our "group" as reference for size.
This is one of the 2 main pillars that support the bridge. If you view the large version of this photo you will see a person on one of the bungee platforms or viewing deck on top of the bridge.
A closer view of one of the main columns that support the bridge. I wanted to have a group shot of us standing beside the column but the guard won't let us near them. VIEW LARGE
For those into the extreme sports like rappelling and bungee, you guys should check out this place
Sige... mao ra to. Lain na pud ugma![]()

salamat that you liked this thread... I just wanna show how rich our country is... I still have alot of places to share pero am doing this inbetween water breaks nako... am a carpenter if am not holding my camera..
this June am heading to Bacolod to shoot a certain festival that is also less talked about and less photographed
I am encouraging everyone to post your exotic, secluded, less travelled, less talked-about tourist spot within our beautiful country, the Philippines... and please, if its not too much to ask.... do make a simple write-up about the place.. as to where it is located, how to get there, and other important details that a traveller would need...
Salamat,
db

@hayj
I hope you will feature the Sand Dunes of Laoag, Asia's Domeless Belfry, The Paoay Church, when you will be back here in Cebu come March 24...
I will be the guide for hayj and some other photographer of Cebu to visit the sites around Vigan-Laoag-Pagudpud on March 21-24... if there would still be interested folks to join dont hesitate to contact hayj or PM me for flight details. The cost for this photo adventure excluding the plane ticket would be less than 5000.
as reference:
bus to Vigan (Partas) - 700
transpo around vigan - 200
bus to Laoag (Partas) - 200
room accomodation - 840 good for two (you pay half)
Van rental in Laoag - 3200 divided by number of photogs (8 as of now)
food - depends on how much your stomach can take
basically this is what to expect as sure expenses
