The information is carried by the group velocity. It won't exactly be the speed of the light. Analog to digital and digital to analog is not a problem anymore. Everything is digital nowadays, and in fact, one of the most successful way Wavelength Division Multiplexing(WDM). That is already all digital. Modal dispersion in fiber optics is not much of a problem anymore. There have been tremendous advancements in single mode fibers also in fabrication and also dispersion compensating fibers. Clever designing coupled with this technology = OK! hehehe The world uses all optical fibers (transatlantic optical networks, pacific networks). Everyday ships are deploying optical cables containing many many single mode fibers.

The technology is there. It is very much well established and well documented. The question is, can Filipinos afford it? Anyway, eventually, it will be available to us. As more advancements come, the previous advancements will come to us. hehehe!

You are as fast as your slowest component. This is i believe acceptable in theory...

    take a look at this:

    Computer:
in theory it takes 1 cycle to choose between ON and OFF.
4GHz Processor = 4 Billion Cycles Per Second
Yes in theory it can happen.

    Biology:
It takes one Ejaculation to impregnate the whole female in EUROPE.
    Sounds possible? count the sperm.

Therefore, It could even be true, even upto the current devices.

One more thing, lightning fast in technology terms, means it is available as you need it.

Lightning fast processor were published before GigaHertz feat.

To give you another light to this:

    "It is about capacity increase."

If it takes 5min to fill a drum of water so u can use it for bathing. Increasing the capacity makes it look lightning fast, either in terms of the water or the drum.
more water = faster to fill
bigger drum = more water it can store.

If it takes 30 seconds for a 5 year old child to count from 1 to 10. Increasing the capacity means as the child gets older, the time to count from 1-10 will become shorter.

nindot gud unta ni.. pero ang pag-splice sa optics gikan sa poste padulong sa balay, it will take time sad.

mas nindot i-explore, data transmission subay/sakay sa transmission line sa NaPoCor..
using 60 Hz as the carrier..

    less ra jud maggasto unta..
nasyo, bisan unsa ka dako sa imo tubo bsta hinay ang tubig, hinay ang agas... if gamay ang imo gripo dako og capacity ang tubo, this is what we consider, slow connection.

T1 connection can be fiber or cable connection. It doesnt matter at all. Its your ISP Capacity that matters.

"If your office has a T1 line, it means that the phone company has brought a fiber optic line into your office (a T1 line might also come in on copper)."
HowStuffWorks "How does a T1 line work?"

Cisco says the multi-chassis CRS-3 will provide 322 Tbps of capacity, which the company asserts is 12X of its closest competition.

This is a violation of Moore's law...grabeha pud...over ra kaau. Siguro tinuod na pero ang PRICE kay lightning fast pud. Ang trend sa Moore's law kay everything electronics will double its speed approximately every 2 or 3 years for the same price. 1mbps raman gani akong connection dri for 899/month

Nielsen's Law of Internet Bandwidth (Alertbox 1998; updated 2010 - still a good fit)

btaw serious, the powerful are the ones who are in control..

pila ka Mbps ang DSL run.?

100Mbps ra dris aku kay globe mn ku..

naa kuy migu nga cgig tawag sa DSL, cgi shag riklamu nga mag putul.putul..

gi padak.an iyang Mbps up to 8,000.!

dn mga ka guildmate nku sa World Of Warcraft kay singapore ug brazil kasagaran.. ngutana ku a2ng taga brazil kay 25,000Mbps daw ilaha.!

my question is, WHY.?! nganung ing.ani.?! pasabta ku.! lol
