Canon and nikon are NOt the only SLr brands out there.. You should try looking at others too.

For examples:
-Olympus EP-1 or EP-2
-Panasonic Lumix GF-1
-Pentax KM series
-Leica M series
-Samsung

You also won't go wrong with these cameras. I myself am using the 4/3's and the APS-C systems, and i own 4 different slr brands (take a guess). But i've settled with the 4/3's...

It's on the individual's personal choice, to each his own cuppa joe. So whatever works for you, stick with it...

I stick with Olympus 4/3's...

Hehehehe prestigious bya na nga award ang DIWA bro Maam babypaupau Nikon D90 promise dili ka mag mahay dugay-dugay pod ka maka-upgrade to another body with this cam. Nevermind na ng userfriendly churva, basta mag-basa raka ug manual tanan controls sayon ra i-operate. Ang importante raman ana nga buttons/joystick imo pirme ginagamit ky ang aperture/shutter/iso.

to keep it short and sweet...go for the d50000. as a beginner, u can't go wrong with it.
