I have a bit of a problem with my 5800 and was hoping someone a bit more Nokia-savvy might be able to help.
The phone is working perfectly software-wise, everything works and all applications are running as they should. The problem is that when I use the stylus or my finger to press on something it ends up pressing on the other side of the screen, so if I was on the menu screen and I pressed on the Options button, the Exit button is pressed instead. This is mostly frustrating when I try to call a number, I could never use the numbers on the left side of the screen because the numbers on the opposite side of the screen are pressed instead. I've completely fallen in love with this phone but its been a complete nuisance.

[This is not my article but had similar problems,was posted 3 months ago but still has no solution]

try calibrating your touch screen sir...

go to menu > settings > phone > touch input >touch screen calibration

had tried it already for many times and yes it works but still after a few minutes it goes back again.. Tnx for the advise. :]

and by the way the problem started when I finished installing some random apps in the ovi store..had deleted them already but it is still there..

basig madala ug hard reset sir. i back up lang usa ang mga important files. if all else fails, dalha nalang jud sa nokia care center. kahadlok pod sa nahitabo sa imo 5800 oi. unsa nga app ang imo gi install gikan ovi store sir? para malikayan pod sa uban. thx

hardware prob na bro.. ilisanan ang touchscreen ana? wa bah na natakag? adto nalang sa NCC bro.. if natagak na yaw lang saba sa NCC.. hehe.. ila ra na ireplace..

sori cant help you with this.. SUN user ko and nasakpan na ang FBT sa SUN.. pero naay laing way using MMS pero pwerting hinaya.. hehe.. ask lang uban globe users diri..
