This movie wasn't directed to action fans, and it never will be. Those who didn't get the message of the movie may need to see it twice.

I especially liked the speech V made to Evey when they first met:

"VoilÃ*! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a bygone vexation stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it's my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V."

correction, it was directed by James McTeigue(1st assistant director of the last two Matrix movies and the 2nd Star Wars Prequel: Attack of the Clones), the Wachowski brothers wrote and produced the film based on the David Lloyd Comic

for the first time Natalie Portman gets really close to acting!!.. And that's partly because the screenplay was quite good enough for her to bring life to the character..

Apparently you haven't watched any of Natalie Portman's films save perhaps her stint with the Star Wars franchise.... tsk, tsk, tsk--

you should check out her 1st movie, role as a 14 year old assassin's apprentice in The Professional, then there's her utterly astounding attraction in Beautiful girls, Woody Allen wanted her for a crucial role in Everybody Says I love You-- then the quirky role in the independent Garden State---

There's a definite reason why she got top billing in this movie, Nezumix22

Hate this movie. I was in Manila when I watch this V for Vendetta. Kay dili man ko ganahan, wala nalang nako kihuman.
