I fully agree with pnoize2k6- the ones sold in the supermarkets packed in carton bags are quite different than the ones sold in their outlets. The taste is not the same. I think they put in more of the good & yummy stuff in the cookies sold in their outlets that's why it's more expensive. I have to admit the ones in the outlets are quite good though. Hard to resist. Whenever I'm on vacation can't resist buying them for family & friends in Cebu just like Krispy Kreme's original glazed donuts.Originally Posted by pnoize2k6
OT- Some of the KK donuts stores in the California area are closing though. I guess people are now more health conscious than before. Or maybe people are tired of eating them.
If Mrs. Field's will open in Cebu- I really doubt if it will stay open for long because of the price. No question about it- it's yummy but with the price factor I really believe it will be too expensive for the Cebuano palate. And since we Cebuanos are smart shoppers ( I refuse to say the word kuripot) It will probably go the same route as Wendy's, Subway, that cinnamon store , saint something- i forgot the name, etc.
