1. download your original firmware files using NAVIFIRM
ex. to download Nokia 5800 XpressMusic (RM-356) with product code = APAC1 Black (0573784):

click on "All" to put checkmarks on everything under "Files" and click "Download from FiRe" at the bottom right, save it inside a folder, make sure you save a backup copy

2. if you have not done this yet, download your cooked firmware files
mao ni ang mga famous cooked firmwares sa dailymobile, famous na sila kay daghan ug mga mods nga giapply nila sa firmware:
>> NEW 6TH COOKED FIRMWARE 22/10(UPDATED) WITH MANY CHANGES PREINSTALLED!!!!
>> 5800XM v40 2CFW! Maps v3.04 added no need to reinstall CFW Again 27/2/10 Stable
>> Xploit Machine's XFW - High Stability Firmware

for the original hacked version (not cooked)

3. prepare your files and flash your phone using JAF
follow the instructions here:
>> YouTube - Firmware Flashing via JAF Service Suite

a. overwrite the original firmware files with the cooked ones
ex. if original fw file = RM-356_40.0.005_prd.rofs2.V19 and cfw file = RM-356_40.0.005_prd.rofs2.V22
rename the cfw file RM-356_40.0.005_prd.rofs2.V22 to RM-356_40.0.005_prd.rofs2.V19
overwrite the original file with the cfw that now has the same name
b. use the JAF PKEY Emulator to open JAF
c. if JAF says it is already "Done" and phone just says "Local mode" and it does not turn off even when pressing the power button, just safely remove phone usb device from pc and take out the batteries to restart the phone

*** if phone is restarted, need to go to ROMpatcher (apply installserver and open4all patches) to have the phone hack activated
